stayed at this hotel for one night with my husband on the 20th of april.couldnt park in the car park thanks to a coach blocking the ability to come in so had to park on oppisite side of road.my husband got my electric wheelchair out and we crossed to the hotel.only way to get in was a buzzer which dosnt exactly make you feel welcome.once we were let in we found there was no wheelchair access and only stairs so my husband had to go up the stairs while i sat in my chair downstairs which wasnt very convient for others as the doorway was very small.my husband checked us In and i have to be honest from what i saw the man looked like he would rather not be there.we asked if there was anyother wheelchair access and he pointed to what looked like a worn out stair lift.i struggled to get up the stairs but did not want to take the chance with the stair lift.we were on the second floor which we used the lift to get to.the lift was so cramped you could just about fit two people.we then had to walk quite a way to our room.once we eventually got to our room it was rather cold so my husband tried to put the raidator on however it did not appear to work and this was the case all night meaning i had to try and keep as warm as i could which isng easy when you have lung problems.the batteries in the tv remote didn't work and the shower was stuck on scolding hot and the side to turn it wouldnt move.in the morning my husband pulled back the duvet and there was black dots i dread to think what they were but had i known that i woulnt have slept in that bed.yes it was a budget hotel but u dont expect that i deffo would not stay here again

Room Tip: pick a better hotel avoid this one

Quick note, if youre a wheelchair user, dont bother as theres stairs to main reception and no way to get a chair up there.

Staff arent exactly welcoming, in the sence i felt like i was an inconvenience. The decor is basic. Bedroom was comfortable. Went to have a shower and the water was hot, too bloody hot and couldnt turn the temperature down. The double bed was pressed against the wall on one side so i had to crawl over my wife to get out during the night for the loo. Went to use the wifi whilst my wife was still asleep and its rather slow.

But really at £37 for the one night we were here cant expect too much. Its cheap and cheerful just enough to stop it being completely rubbish. I would stay here but it wouldnt be my first choice

Room Tip: only go here if you cant find somewhere better

Arrived on 30th dec 17 for a new years break with 12 friends .
On first impressions my thoughts where negative. Just goes to show never judge a book by its cover.
The staff have been so obliging, helpful and friendly . Having a great time food is good .Had 2 buffets that were amazing. The staff have worked so hard to make this a fantastic New Year . Thankyou all.

Up until a day my visit to this hotel I was still not convinced that the booking was secure. However I finally confirmed it with booking.com and spoke to the manager directly. However when my son and I arrived the following day the manager said there was a problem. He had had a number of rooms made unavailable due to an inspection (didn't say when it was !). So he had booked a room in another hotel. So we followed him around the corner to the Embassy. Before he left he asked me to cancel the original booking so he wouldn't have to pay commission ! This I did not do. Everything was paid for and the stay in this hotel was fine.

Room Tip: Do not book a room here !
