Helpful, friendly guides and worth a visit as a lot of history. Look round at the windows, monuments and the gravestones.

Not a lot to say the minster is steeped in history, stands in tree shrouded gardens within walking distance of the town centre

been here a few times as a wedding photographer, the building is stunning, very beautiful architecture, and steeped in history, friendly verger couldn't help us enough.

Halifax Minster has a darkened exterior due to centuries of industrial smoke but venture within because treasures abound. The Duke of Wellington's Regiment Chapel contains many of their old colours (flags) which saw action in many historic battles. Look up to the ceiling and see coats of arms painted in the C17th. Clear(ish) glass windows were installed following iconoclasm in the ECW and are stunning examples of their kind. The Minster contains two organs, a largely C20th instrument by Harrison's and a chamber organ in the side chapel. The Minster has level access and a friendly welcoming team with laminated guides provided in many languages.

I was particularly interested to see the old Minster as my Grandparents were married in this church, It was getting ready for Easter Sunday celebrations.
