Bit sceptical when booking this midweek break thinking it would be like an old holiday camp but very surprised when first drove in the grounds and reception arrears very nice and well kept we had a superior chalet which was excellent very large double bed good sized walk in shower and bathroom and a lounge area with settee and 36in tv and a patio area outside.
The meals were excellent and well presented with a good selection to cater for all tastes both at breakfast where a good variety of fruit and full English available and dinner with a different menu every night.
Excellent entertainment from the animation team good shows every night to a professional standard
.the staff all were extremely friendly and helpful making it a very pleasant stay.
The grounds are well kept and always saw maintenance staff around gardening and tidying up
all the guest were friendly its nice when people take the time to say good morning and have time for a chat and not have a mobile phone stuck to their ear
Lastly I cannot thank all the staff enough for making this very pleasant stay
One trivial complaint the sofa in the lounge was not very comfortable would have prefered a couple of the bar lounge chairs instead

I did enjoy my stay at the Warner Lakeside Coastal Village, from the cleanliness to good food where you can help yourself or you can be waited on. There is plenty to keep you occupied during the day if you don't want to venter out. A couple of things on the downside is if you need to go by bus to Portsmouth or other places, there is a fair way to walk to the bus stop and the other I feel they should play some modern music, not stay In a time warp by playing 50s & 60s all the time, otherwise I did enjoy my stay.

Room Tip: All rooms throughout the complex is very good and clean.

We arrived and were pleasnatly suprised with the gardens and suite which was right next to the little lake with ducks and swans on it. The rest was not very good. Bed was very small and hard, shower was useless and bath very small. Dining room was awful. You felt like cattle in a market all squashed together. the table was was hardly big enough to fit everything on and the noise was thunderous. After your meal, you stayed at your table for the eveing entertainment. The dance floor was too small so dancing was not a good experience but the entertainment team were great and the acts very good. We also wanted to play pitch n put. Nice weeds but no chance.

hayling Island is a lovely area and the walks around the little harbours and coves were lovely. Spent more time out of the complex than in and got money back so we could eat out for 2 nights. Much more civilised!!!

We stayed in one of the new Harbour Suites. It was very nice to have a separate lounge area, especially with a little fridge and the usual tea making equipment. Excellent shower and flat screen TVs in each room. Bed pretty comfy and we were given clean towels and extra shower gel etc each day. We are not too keen on the dining arrangements - huge noisy dining room where you stayed for the evening's entertainment - but hey, you get what you pay for and this is not a hotel! We played indoor bowls, did rifle shooting, swam in the pool and joined in the Pop Choir, as well as going out and about around the island, to Chichester and beyond. I got fed up with people moaning about little things such as when the plastic bags had run out at the end of the day in the pool changing rooms! Just enjoy yourself if you go to Lakeside. The staff are great and the entertainment team work their socks off, giving a great performance of their own show on Sunday evening. We enjoyed dancing to the Fourmost and had a good laugh with the Dreamers. The food was pretty good with a fair amount of choice - luckily we were sitting next to friendly people. Don't go here if you are expecting a quiet, romantic time. This is where you let your hair down and have fun! Having said that it was lovely and quiet at bedtime!

Room Tip: Pay a bit extra for a Harbour Suite

The new suites are lovely, with lounge separate from the bedroom, a nice patio, and adjacent dedicated parking. Only gripe- no hook on bathroom door!
We paid extra for a VIP table, and were disappointed that we still had to fetch our own food, if we chose the carvery or curry.
Staff excellent, as usual.
