We visited the property yesterday, to see the snowdrops. The whole visit was a delight - the snowdrops were stunning, and I didn't realise how many different types there were. Aconites and many types of hellebore were in bloom too. The setting is delightful with plenty of mature trees, and the garden contains a large selection of sculptures. This is not a 'packed with blooms formal garden', this a rural, grassy, woody delight. The bird song was a spring bonus. There is a tearoom and a small shop.

Tucked away off Gilden Way, this is a fascinating place to visit.

Frederick Gibberd, the main architect of Harlow New Town amassed an interesting collection of objects from around the world.

A 'must-see'if you are in the Harlow area.

This modestly signposted garden is a truely amazing delight to the eyes , constantly subtly changing it gets better on every visit. Never boring , a true garden lovers dream.

Its local and i take my visitors there in the summer. Since Lady Patricia's death, been able to access the house as well. In summer, often outdoor music as well.

I was expecting a lot more, it look kinda neglected in a way and i thought there would be more spectacular plantings, the sculptures seemed a bit lost in it all, the placements did not seem satisfactory. Maybe a second visit with slightly better and sunnier weather would change my opinion!
