When we came for the first time we wondered if the view of Loch Leven could possibly be as good as the photos implied – well, yes it can! We fell in love with the place. It is so cosy, and so comfy – not just the beds and the sofas, but the feel of the place. It’s well fitted out with everything you could want for a self-catering holiday. The covered patio is a great place for lunch on a sunny day. The sunroom is a wonderful place to relax, looking at the light changing on the loch. The lodge is situated within easy reach of great of eating places (Loch Leven’s Larder and the Balgedie Toll Tavern are particularly good) and the short walk to the local shop in Kinesswood to get a newspaper, admiring the view of the Loch as you go, is definitely recommended as a great start to the day. If you’re looking for a place just to use as a base and tour about the region, it’s great. If you’re looking for a place to relax and don’t want to go far during your stay, it’s great. We keep coming back … just been for our SEVENTH visit. And have booked again for next year. The guest book is full of delighted comments, some from people who, like us have also returned again and again.
