My wife and I had Sunday lunch here recently and much enjoyed it. The owners are lovely, the ambiance excellent and the staff very good indeed. The menu is a mix of good quality Scottish Sunday lunch items (roasts etc) and Thai (a Thai chicken curry and a starter of prawns with a sweet chilli sauce were on the menu); from past experience, we can vouch for both. It is a favourite of ours and somewhere we like to go every so often and we can highly recommend it to all.

Contacted the restaurant on spec after kirk and they were able to fit us in at 13.30. We have had meals here before and once again we were not disappointed by the quality and quantity of the food. The staff while young are very attentive and under the watchfull eye of the boss ensured that this was an experience not to be missed.

This is an ideal spot to stop when traveling on the A9 as there are not many decent places between Edinburgh and the North.

The restaurant is quite hidden away but actually only a very short distance off the M90, opposite Kinross Services.
We enjoyed lunch mainly because of the relaxed atmosphere, the lovely views and the friendly, attentive owner. Food itself was OK but by no means outstanding.

We normally enjoy our meal at the Grouse and Claret near Kinross in the summer months but arranged a trip down from Inverness to Motherwell to pass through Fife as i just needed a hit of their delicious three cheese souffle and enjoyed their Cassoulet very much, nibbles and tasters are included and a choice of local real ales supplements the wine and spirits. Very much a family run restaurant it is seconds from the motorway but you would never know it and walking out from the warmth into the crisp night air the sky seemed full of stars but perhaps that was the drink! With no road frontage or advertising word of mouth and TA is probably the best way to spread the word and anyone is welcome to contact me to verify any of my hundreds of reviews

We recently visited the restaurant on the occasion of my wife's birthday. Due to the heavy snow that had fallen and it being midweek we were the only ones in the restaurant. the hostess could have been forgiven for closing. Not only did she open for us but treated us like royalty. The food was great and the hostess and staff were exceptional in making us feel welcome. We came away having thoroughly enjoyed our evening despite our initial misgivings in regard to the weather and lack of other customers. Thank you and well done to all.
