This accommodation was beyond our expectations, immaculately clean & exceptionally well presented and equipped. Very warm, spacious & comfortable we would definitely recommend this to anyone and hope to return again soon.
I travelled as a party of four and booked a two bedroomed lodge. The place was immaculate, well equipped, and excellent value for money. Kirkwall was an easy drive of a few minutes away. Behind the property was an excellent hotel serving reasonably priced food. Location was peaceful and we could not ask for more. Would definately recommend this property for anyone wishing to book a first class lodge rental. Parking was available outside the property, pets could be accomodated and the furnishings were of a very good quality as was the bed linen and towels. Excellent all round !!

Short drive from the town, comfortable, quiet and clean. Everything you want from a holiday cottage.
the only problem was a weak wi-fi signal, but thankfully my 3G connection worked

Our lodge was a double room, a twin room, a living room, kitchen and bathroom. Everything was very well kitted out, and dishwasher and washer/drier came in very handy. Lots of cutlery and crockery all in matching sets - it's clearly very well looked after, and an excellent place to stay. The lodges are on the edge of town (about 20 minutes downhill walk into Kirkwall) in a quiet cul-de-sac right next to Highland Park distillery. Great value for money - an excellent place to stay!

As veterans of self-catered vacations, we are quite accustomed to finding the accommodation to be not quite what the pictures showed. In this case, we were floored to see that the cottage was actually nicer in reality than we had seen from the pictures. We think we got WAY more than we paid for. Absolutely delighted with our cottage and Christine was a lovely and accommodating host.
The cottage was superbly clean with a well-equipped kitchen. Lots of crockery, all in good condition, and plenty of utensils.
We did not have a car for most of our stay and we did not feel that we needed one -- Kirkwall's town centre is an easy 1 mile walk downhill. The location is extraordinarily quiet and peaceful. A lovely place to relax.

We stayed here for 4 days in July 2013 and enjoyed it very much. The cottages are on the outskirts of Kirkwall, in a very peaceful area, but within easy walking distance of the city center and supermarkets (2 big ones - extremely handy for self-caterers). The rooms are large and bright, warm, immaculately clean, all amenities work as advertised. Free parking in front of the cottage... With 2 rooms (one with a double bed, the other with 2 beds), it's perfect for 3 or 4 people. The price was also extremely reasonable! All in all very warmly recommended for anyone who wants to stay in Orkney for more than a couple of days.

We stay at High Park every year for work purposes. Christine, who runs the cottages, is extremely helpful and friendly (thank you for all of your help over the years).
The cottages are well equipped with everything that you could possibly want during your stay. They are very clean and well maintained. All of the fixtures and fittings are of good quality.
The cottages are situated next to the Highland Park Distillery, and so whisky supplies are never far away in case of emergencies. It is a short walk (15-20 mins) down the hill into the main parts of Kirkwall, where you will find whatever you are after. Most people who visit Orkney will have a car to visit all that the islands have to offer and of course these cottages have plenty of parking.
We are about to stay in High Park again in a few days, and I am sure that the stay will be as good as ever.
