If you are come to this hotel and are on your own, check your room before deciding to stay. It is small and dark, I reckon 12'x9 and had a small window which opened on to a flat roof and was under the fire escape, so could not leave it open.
No information leaflet in the room.
No telephone in room, no wi fi and mobile phone reception was very poor, probably due to position of room (in amongst the chimneys and under the fire escape) The only place wifi worked was in the bar.
There are no staff on the premises overnight. In case of fire, make your own way out and gather in hotel next door!
There is a phone along the corridor to contact a member of hotel staff - as if one would wish to walk to it in middle of night possibly forgetting room key and being locked out.
Very creased sheets on the bed. I thought they had been slept on before, but think they just do not iron them. Not a nice first impression. Bed was comfortable though, and surprisingly I did sleep well. The final straw was to discover that breakfast was an extra. which I had definately not been told.
Only redeeming feature was friendly staff
