Description: The Roebuck Inn offers visitors a chic 'European Bistro' as well as six unique boutique bedrooms that each display English character and charm. The Inn, which dates back to 1708, opens after a period of major refurbishment which saw the iconic building transformed to a stylish and welcoming bistro in the heart of the leafy village of Mobberley, Cheshire. In keeping with the European theme, The Roebuck Inn offers only old world wines that have been carefully selected to compliment the flavours of the menu. The Inn also offers more than 12 of these by the glass, which gives a great variety for guests who are popping in for a glass by the fire or relaxing time out in the private terraced garden. A vintage liquor cabinet sits alongside the non-traditional bar to offer an array of traditional digestifs.

“Awful”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

As it had just reopened we thought we would see what the Roebuck was like. We waited 10 minutes for someone address us and nobody came. Tried to find a table ourselves and managed to walk round the full restaurant with no members of staff noticing. Finally got sat down by a member of staff on a dirty table we weren't offered drinks or menus. We waited 20 minutes and no one came. The man who sat us down was outside smoking on his phone all this time in front of the window we were sat at. We got up and left and again no member of staff noticed.

“Great food good value”
Reviewed February 12, 2013 via mobile

Called in for a quick bite to eat as the pub over the road was full. I had not visited since it re-opened and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and although I only had fish a chips it was perfectly cooked with proper chips like your mother used to make many many years ago. Food was served up quickly. Service was generally good and I really felt the staff wanted to make a success of the place. They have a few evening events coming up on the blackboard which looked fun.
Well worth a visit

“Gut busting 😃”
Reviewed February 3, 2013 via mobile

Recently reopened. This place is lovely, the atmosphere is relaxed. My daughter ordered half a rotisserie chicken, it came as a full chicken but we were only charged for half because the chef needed to use then up. My daughter said it was the best chicken she had ever tasted. All of our meals were gorgeous so much so that we have been back since & we were not disappointed, I have been recommending this place to everyone & we will definitely be returning.

“A great local pub for a Sunday roast”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

After checking out a few pubs today, but couldn't get in, we managed to get the last free table in the house for Sunday lunch this afternoon. The "new" Roebuck has a great atmosphere on a Sunday, with a roaring fire at one end, and an easy listening two-piece group at the other.

Three of us had the sunday roasts, and one the sausage and mash, all of which were delicious and well presented. I particularly enjoyed the choice of beers, including Beartown Bear A*** and Tatton Gold.

Will we be back ... for sure :)
