Since it's renovation the place is great. Friendly staff, manager is the best, went out of their way to make everything happen. The new restaurant is worth a try. Good menu all day including breakfast from early. Rooms are fine and good value for money. Best place to stay for central Knutsford.

Stayed one night to attend the work's Christmas party and at first it seemed expensive but it's the same price as the Travelodge and you get breakfast and a town centre carpark so no need for taxi etc. yes the bed creaked and yes the shower wasn't the best but it was clean and the room a decent size. There's some moaners on trip advisor I found the hotel good.

I went to the Cross Keys for breakfast on a Sunday. Overall it was disappointing but with a small amount of effort, it could have been really good. Tea is served in a cup with a bag floating in it; no teapot and no saucer to put the bags on. We ended up with a pile of rubbish on a damp serviette. I asked for scrambled eggs but what I got was lightly beaten eggs which had massive lumps of white -exactly what I hate. But maybe some people like them like that. Toast was supposed to be white but we got brown, and charged £2.95 for an extra 2 slices. Overall, I wont go again. There are much better places to go in Knutsford.

A definite plus is the decor refurbishment and the opening up of the formerly divided room. At lunchtime ordering food at the bar wasn't the easiest, order verbally taken but then had to be completely reiterated as all memory seemed to be lost by the person taking the order who keyed it into till. Food OK but not the best, eg slightly browning salad leaves, unpleasant blackened charred bacon fat in salad, took a while to arrive and we could see our order making a tour of the room before homing in to our table eventually. Lack of organisation apparent. Attention to detail required ? ! ? Good TT Landlord though.

Have visited several times over the last few years. The refurbishment is fine but the service at the bar last Saturday was dreadful. Same guy that's been there for years was as good as always the less said about the rest of the bar staff the better.

After waiting ages at a not very crowded bar both times I went, we decided to give up and go across to the wine bar where the service was the complete opposite.
