We had lunch at The King's Arms on our drive home from Oban to Liverpool, it worked well as being almost a half-way point to break up the journey. We were instantly attracted to it as it stated it was dog-friendly on the website, this was not an understatement, our dog was welcomed and even offered a bowl of water as soon as we entered. The pub was comfortable and cosy with a lovely open fire. The food was a treat and much better value than the pubs we had eaten at around the Oban area. My son and husband had the steak pie, whilst my daughter had the roast beef dinner and I had the prawn salad - none of it could be faulted, it was all fresh and beautifully cooked and the staff were friendly and efficient. We will definitly return when we have our next Scottish holiday.
