My partner and I stayed at the Townhead on the way to the highlands and on the way back enjoying our stay in two different rooms both were clean, comfortable and quiet. All the staff here make your stay an happy one they were all happy to help you in any way they could as well as being happily chatty they still managed to be super efficient. The host Stephen and his wife made you feel welcome and would stop and chat to guests staying at their amazing place. To sum up the Townhead Comfortable, hospitable, delicious food, fantastic atmosphere and fabulous locals especially a lady I enjoyed chatting too called Duchess.

Lovely to have met you on your travels, andso happy to read that you enjoyed your stop over with us.

My partner Jan will be happy to read she is now my wife, although there is no date set yet haha. We feel that it is always important to make time for everyone, and we feel that this always helps our guests feel more relaxed and helps then to enjoy their time with us.

We certainly look forward to seeing you again.

Returned back to townhead hotel after a while. service was always good and staff excellent. So thought we would try out new chef for our wedding anniversary. Excellent new menu something for everyone. I had the haggiss bon bon starter and the mixed grill. Wife had mushroom starter and the steak pie. Couldnt fault anything as usual. And to top it all off as we were leaving owner stepen gave us bottle of presseco to celebrate our anniversary. What more could you ask for

Amazing food using local produce, beautifully decorated room and attentive staff. Even the background music was good! The bill at the end was also a nice surprise, - great value for the quality of the food! Our group contained a vegetarian, and a mixture of adventurous and more traditional tastes and everyone was delighted with their meal. The location is convenient for walking from the town centre.
Only negative points were that the lighting in the dining room was too low for the older members of the group to read the menu, and that the starters and puddings were served on slates instead of plates, which meant the sauce dripped off the edge and on to the table!

Hi Caroline

Thank you for your kind words which you have taken the time to leave for us.

It is always great to get feedback from our guests and customers.

We have now changed some of our desserts, and some are still on slates, however most will be on plate if they come with a sauce.

Hopefully we will see you all back with us again soon.

Stephen & Staff

Very pleasant hotel - all the staff extremely welcoming and friendly. The room was well furnished, bed superbly comfy, shower very hot and lots of fluffy white towels. Breakfast was great - and the evening menu looked very good too, but after 7 hours on the M6 we weren't hungry enough to stay awake to sample it. Definitely highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting accommodation in the area.

Had lunch there today Friday. Pate really nice but the Steak Pie was bland and tasteless. Lovely attentive staff and a good Pint of IPA.Very clean and tidy but thought it was a bit overpriced for what you get.

Dear Sir

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review of your meal with us here.

I am so sorry that you were not happy with our steak pie, which is actually one of our best selling dishes, at a price of £10.95.

We hope that this will not however put you off coming to try us out again in the near future, and we would love to see you back.

regards
Stephen & Team
