Another of those must see steam railways. It runs from Loughborough to the outskirts of Leicester (At least an hours walk to the city center). The train run is about an half hour each way.
I was allowed to come on the footplate of the locomotive we ran with. The driver tried to explain wat all the knobs did, but he lost me somewhere.
As with most of the heritage lines, the staff enjoy there work, and only want to help.
We visited the engin works. Lots of oil and muck,. It amazes me that they know where everything is.
