I boycotted this restaurant for fifteen years before finally revisiting it in 2012. I have since been back again and can recommend it. The reason for my boycott was the atrocious service and frankly rude staff; I was assured by the current staff that they have long gone. That said the service was a little slow on my second visit when it got a lot busier than that first time around.
However it was the food I was most impressed with. It is authentic unashamed Chinese fare and by that I mean that it can get a little greasy at times and sometimes more sugary than is probably healthy. You get a decent amount of pancakes with the crispy duck (always a bone of contention with me) and the way the set menu's work means you get a good amount of food delivered to your table. The drinks menu has some interesting Chinese liquers listed which are worth exploring. It is a great place to spend some time, have a few drinks, practice your chopstick skills and if you get a window seat watch the world go by.
