Very interesting and thought provoking display of photos and equipment. Well worth a visit to this volunteer run establishment.

This is a collection and an archive and a memorial all rolled into one. If you are expecting the glitz of a modern display-type museum forget it. If you want to be inundated with the feeling of a dedication to the memory of every member of 'Harry Tate's Navy' then you will get this. It is a marvellous memorial to a wonderful service and something that everyone involve din should be proud of.

Although the museum is only quite small and and not particularly well sited it contained masses of artifacts and information relating to the Royal Naval Patrol Service based in Lowestoft in WW2 together with information about civilian casualties etc at that time

Enjoyed seeing some of the memorabilia in there, particularly as I served on HMS Lowestoft. Also found lots of interesting info on the war-time exploits of the RN patrol crews in WW2.
