Although I am not over the moon we cage animals out of there environment, I have to say I was presently surprised at the space the animals have. There are not overcrowded cages, queues of people staring through glass windows, too many animals just to try and please the public, just a handful of rhino,giraffe,buffalo,lions,lemur,birds..all with large areas set out for them with lots of grass, woods all around. Good day out and great play area for the children. Take a picnic as lots of room to eat one....also better as Jacket potato with beans will set u back £6.95 so not cheap..! Don't forget Kessingland beach mins down the road..Great Day Out..(make sure not to miss woodland walk in park as not very well signposted but lots of lovely owls, birds etc)

Really ice open space, great for kids to run around without too many slopes or hills and not overly busy in April so got to see all the animals. Nice train ride & enclosures were big so animals had good space.

We spent an entire day out here from 11-5pm, after planning to go for a quick trip - our 5 year old did not want to leave! We loved being able to walk among the lemurs, and feeding the goats in particular. We spent ages watching the lions who were playing and chasing each other.

The restaurant was very busy and didn't look anything special but the food was actually really nicely cooked so we really enjoyed it. We also caught the birds of prey show which was fantastic.

Compared with prices at places like Longleat and other zoos, which are admittedly bigger but where you'd still be in and out in one day, I think Africa Alive represents great value for money.

I have been to this attraction on multiple occasions. For a zoo it is relatively small but has all the main animals you would expect to find in a zoo. E.g. Lions, giraffes, rhino’s, monkeys etc

You can get around it quite easily by foot and there is a safari train you can get on if you fancy taking a more leisurely approach to your visit. The children love the train.

Be careful when planning your day out to this attraction as there is a ball pit on site, although the children love the ball pit the danger is that they don’t want to see the zoo! So I would see the zoo first followed by the ball pit last.

The site is on a slope. The top half and the middle parts are good and you must see these areas but don’t bother with the bottom end of the site as there isn’t much to see and there is a lot of walking around the loop.

For children there is a free booklet encouraging them to go around the site looking for specific animals in the booklet. Once the stamp station is found near the animal they can stamp the animal in their booklet. If they stamp all picture animals in the booklet they get a medal.

This attraction is quite expensive and you really need to save up on Tesco vouchers to get the best value.
