They are very good - so had to wait till 8.30 for a table - lots of locals and visitors alike - 5star presentation and flavours - service a bit slow due to being busy
Cost was also excellent 100% better than another local restaurant which was 50% more expensive

Thank Mike W

I have visited a few times when visiting my parents locally and the quality of the food is fantastic and the service very friendly. We recently held a private family buffet there and they really surpassed themselves. tim dalling

Egans is a good place to dine out. The ambience is wonderful, as are the staff. I think that the food is a bit special - my only downside is that the portions are too big in my opinion but I guess then you get more for your money!

This was a ladies-who-lunch visit on a Monday when many restaurants are closed. Egan's was busy, a sign of its popularity and good quality. Service was prompt and attentive. We had starters (asparagus/poached egg and blue-cheese stuffed fig baked wrapped in italian ham) and mains (different fish dishes, one with sea bream one with sea bass, both served with golden crunchy fried potatoes and perfectly cooked vegetables). All dishes were beautifully presented, just the right amount, with quality ingredients and perfectly cooked. Excellent value at £16.95 for 2 courses. The wine menu is somewhat limited for wine by the glass, but again very good quality.

Our only quibble about this place is that, while the decor is pleasant to look at (white walls, gentle natural tones for the tasteful decorative touches), there are absolutely no soft furnishings to absorb sound, and the place is echoey and noisy, even when not totally full and with customers 'of a certain age' who are hardly being raucous.

Had a meal here with friends last month. It was superb!! Amazing food and good size portions. Absolutely delicious and when you think you can't eat any more, you can, because you can have an assiette of mini desserts to share!! Divine. Couldn't fault a thing. Staff are friendly, service is very good. Excellent.
