A truly wonderful coastal hideaway pub, full of regulars, walkers and people with the knowledge to know it's there.
The meals are quite large, but they are all cooke quite superbly and taste of freshness that sometimes is missing in pub food.
I have visited three times now and it is our last stop before boarding the IOW ferry 3 miles away.
The beer is also well kept and presented at a good temperature, with quite friendly staff.

We hit this pub in the middle of a coastal walk, and it was fantastic. Great friendly landlord, shame about the barmaid who wouldn't smile and didn't laugh at my jokes!!
The food was very good but the lunchtime menu was a bit limited.
The garden was off limits due to the rain weeks ago, not really sure what the problem was, the sun was shining and it looked enticing.
Good selection of beer and well looked after.

Found this place a few years ago and whilst we dont live in Lymington we have enjoyed the atmosphere and great food we are happy to make the 30 min drive to come for lunch most Saturdays and have never been disappointed. Always kept warm in the winter with the log fire, great outdoor seating on the patio or in the garden in the summer, and really nice staff as well. Oh and some of the best walking and wildlife spotting on the south Coast right on their back door.

This is one the oldest pubs in Lymington. There is always a cheerful welcome from the staff. The landlord, Simon is probably amongst the best landlord in Lymington. The beer is good. The food is good. In winter time there's a big log fire to keep you warm and in the summer there is a lovely garden. It's easy to drive to but it's well worth the walk along the sea wall from Lymington.
