It was great to be welcomed with a supply of basics before we could get oriented and find the shops etc for ourselves. The first morning was a wonderful surprise with snow covering everything. The kids first ever sight of snow and first snowballs! Thanks Jo for supplying that too,
The cottage was so warm and comfortable we hadn't realised there was snow until we opened the curtains. Everything worked well and there was lots of information about the local area. A good base to refresh and then check out the south east of England. For us Aussies places like Stonehenge, Portsmouth and Hastings are within easy reach (couple of hours at most).

We have just returned from a long weekend here. It was very comfortable and had a lovely homely feel. Milk, butter and some treats had been left for us, which was very thoughtful and a nice welcome. Joanne, the owner, also popped in to say 'hello' and to check everything was OK for us. Would definitely stay here again.
Great location- walking distance onto nature reserves and sea walls, into town centre and to the sailing club. Lots to do for small children. Small cottage but well equipped.
We had a fabulous stay, two adults, a 1 year old and 5 year old. The garden was perfect for early evening games after a day out and has wonderful birds and is very private. We were lucky with the weather so also had dinner outside when we were at home. The place is really well equipt and felt very homely. Lovely that Jo had left cakes, fresh bread, butter, and milk and a few bits in the cupboard (eg herbs) that were handy when I cooked (only once!). Only reason not given the cottage 5 stars is that it was cramped in the bathroom for a tall person but this is outlined in the marketing so no surprises. Go to the Fishermans Rest about a minute away, fab food and service. Took our sleeping son 2 nights and were lucky that he slept whilst the 3 of us enjoyed a dinner, it was peaceful enough to do so. All in all, highly recommend the cottage and area in general.
Beautifully equipped and decorated cottage with sweet private garden close to Lymington centre and yacht harbour. Very helpful and friendly owner who even provided bread,
butter, milk and cakes for a welcome. Tea and coffee provided. Had a restful and comfy week.
We have just returned from a fantastic week in Delawarr cottage. It's the first time we have travelled with our 4mth baby, and it couldn't have been an easier place to stay.
Jo the owner was very helpful and accommodating, even buying a new mattress for the travel cot, which our daughter slept in very peacefully.
The cottage has been recently renovated to a very high standard, with everything you could wish for provided.
It is furnished beautifully, with high quality bedding and plenty of towels etc.
The welcoming touches of fresh flowers, hot cross buns and milk in the fridge were much appreciated after a long journey. The cottage has it's own private garden, which was lovely when the sun came out and I'm sure will be much used in the warmer summer months.
The location is great for a 15 min stroll into Lymington, which is a pretty harbour town, with plenty of nice shops, pubs and restaurants.
There is also a lovely sea wall walk, which takes approx 30mins into Lymington.
A short car ride away is the beautiful New Forest with great walks and the surrounding villages of Lyndhurst, Brokenhurst, and Beaulieu.
We look forward to returning in the future.
