Description: Located in the harbour of Lymington on the South Coast, The Mayflower is a stunning coastal inn which has superb dining and stylish rooms with seaside views. Our six bedrooms are beautifully finished, each with their own unique, comforting and contemporary twist. Sleep in the finest Egyptian cotton bed linen, bathe in beautiful Victorian roll-top baths and enjoy some down-time with a Nespresso while looking out over the Solent. Recently awarded a coveted AA Rosette, we pride ourselves in supporting all things British and all things local, so expect to dine on the finest ingredients that Hampshire and the beautiful South Coast have to offer. Our talented chefs have lovingly prepared a delicious menu, including beautiful seasonal dishes such as crab and lobster macaroni with spinach, morels and tarragon or Buffalo mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes, grilled pepper and basil bruschetta. With an extensive wine list, the best in class ales and a great selection of creative gin cocktails, we have something for everyone at The Mayflower. As a nation, we love to experience the outdoors with our food and drinks. Come summer time, our guests can enjoy our spacious garden, with a picture perfect coastal backdrop as far as the eye can see. The perfect location for al fresco dining. In the winter time, we have real log fires throughout the pub to keep you warm on the coldest of nights. We are conveniently located on the South Coast in Hampshire and are very near to the Isle of Wight and the New Forest - which are truly beautiful at any time of the year, and offer the best in sailing adventures, sightseeing and countryside pursuits. Whether it's a perfectly British Sunday lunch, a lazy afternoon in the garden with friends or a romantic getaway, make The Mayflower your destination of choice!

Visited this pub/restaurant twice last week while staying in the area. On both occasions we were very happy with the quality of the food served. The staff were very friendly and good at their jobs.
Very good value for money and plenty of food on the plate.

We found ourselves searching for somewhere to eat (and, most importantly, to park our car) in Lymington, when we spied The Mayflower. This pub has a large car park set back from the quay an looked like the perfect spot for lunch.

We were greeted by friendly staff and presented with an interesting menu. We both chose some spicy Mexican food (me veggie, himself beef). It was really delicious with just the right amount if spice! I washed mine down with a pint of Thatcher's, his was a pint of Ringwood best bitter.

This pub is well worth a visit. Table service was rather slow, but staff were friendly and helpful. The whole pub looks clean ... including the loos ... and is inviting. Having a place to park the car right outside in such a busy town is a real bonus.

We went to the Mayflower on Saturday night for dinner and we absolutely loved it! Beautiful setting by the marina and the staff were very welcoming from the moment we walked in. We had a great table by the window and the staff are very efficient, friendly and polite. We all had just main courses and the portions were huge and so tasty! We were very impressed! We could not fault the mayflower and we will definately be back. It was the best meal we had had in quite some time and we have eaten in many of the new forest pub/restaurants!

We visited on the 16th Feb. The restaurant was absolutely heaving but the service was fantastic - nothing was too much trouble. The meal was outstanding and this was our 10th visit in 18 months. To be able to watch the ferries come in was wonderful. Would highly recommend. There were three generations in our family along with my 90 year old Auntie who all thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

I've visited the Mayflower more times than I can remember. This place is always buzzing and is clearly popular with the locals. The pub is a decent size and there is a nice restaurant area at the back. The menu is varied; I always tend to go for the Cajun Chicken sizzler which never fails to disappoint. This place is particularly good in the summer months where you can dine in the garden and enjoy live music or perhaps a BBQ. They even offer free wifi which is a bonus. Recommended for families and couples, young or old.
