This one was new to us and we had booked a lunch table for 12.30 and had to leave at 2 p.m. to catch a ferry at 2.15. I was a little concerned that we might have to rush the meal, I really didn't need to as the food arrived promptly and we had an hour to eat it in.
Beer selection was good, four ales on the bar from three breweries and all in great condition.
The menu was somewhat limited, the manager apologised as he was short staffed. Not an issue for us as there was something there for everyone so why moan?
The atmosphere in the pub was pleasant with a fairly obvious nautical bent, there was a large fire blazing in the grate and the festive spirit was very much in evidence. Nice!
