Description: The Crown Inn Pub and Restaurant - our aim is to accommodate both drinkers and diners alike, within a comfortable contemporary setting (we have tried to mix the old with the new, to create a warm, cosy ambience)We have been here for 6 years, and Phil does all of the cooking, so our main objective is to provide consistently good home-cooked food (which obviously takes time to prepare and cook to your liking) from an extensive menu, using only quality produce. We would like to think that our service is of a similar standard to the food, and that you should feel welcome and 'looked after' at all times.

“A little gem of a pub on the way to Lymington”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2013

Went to this pub one Wednesday afternoon in late August 2013 with my mother. I had been meaning to try the food here as it had been recommended by friends, and I had been there for a drink once before and it seemed to be a friendly and cosy pub but also with a modern feel. Anyway, I went for the steak and kidney pie and my mother chose the lemon sole. I guess she enjoyed the fish as it was gone in 10 secs flat. My pie took a bit longer but the topping was absolutely gorgeous and the filling was full of kidney which is all-to-often in short supply alongside the steak. We both thoroughly enjoyed our dishes and the service was very friendly and timely. This is a friendly pub which serves up great food in a lovely atmosphere.

“Good food and good service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013

We have just been staying in the area and ate here 2 out of our 3 nights! Really good choice on menu, with a number of specials. All three courses were delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.
Nice atmosphere in pub too. Would highly recommend.

“A LITTLE GEM .........”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2013 via mobile

Four of us went for lunch at The Crown Inn after receiving a recommendation and we weren't disappointed.
From the outside you might be forgiven for thinking that this pub has little to offer but don't let this put you off. The decor is modern, comfortable and in keeping with the older style of the pub. I would say that it had more of a restaurant feel than that of a pub but as we were there to eat this didnt affect us in any way. There is seating in both the front and rear gardens with a covered area in the rear for those who have to brave the inclement conditions in their need for a nicotine fix.
This pub was very clean and tidy with a welcoming feel, enhanced by the friendly and attentive staff. I cannot fault the level of service we received during the 2+ hours we spent there.
The menu is varied with 2 specials boards adding to your choices. The food was competitively priced, was beautifully presented and was absolutely delicious. I can highly recommend the herb crusted cod, the steak and kidney pudding and the belly pork with apple mash.
The Crown Inn is further away than we would normally travel for lunch but definitely worth the effort and I would highly recommend that anyone give it a try. If our experience is anything to go by then you shall not be disappointed.

“Great Sunday lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2013 via mobile

Dropped in for Sunday lunch. Met with a warm welcome, it was busy and we hadn't booked but that was no trouble for the very friendly staff. Husband had a generous pate starter and roast beef with a lovely gravy and fabulous looking Yorkshire pud. I opted for a herb crusted cod. Cooked beautifully with a great cabbage parcel of vegetables and new potatoes. The citrus was a spot on finish. Very happy experience - and they serve Peroni which means husband doubly happy!!
