Stayed here during a weekend break in the New Forest. Nice pub with good food and pleasant clean rooms and friendly staff. This is not an Hotel so reviewers need to consider what they want before booking pub accommodation and then complaining about lack of hotel type services. Just put the post code into your sat nav and you will arrive at the door! so not difficult to find as mentioned elsewhere.
The restaurant is popular and has a good, reasonably priced menu. The breakfasts are very good and cooked to order with a good choice. The beds are comfortable and no sign of overly soft mattresses mentioned elsewhere. Only down side was the public bar - very quaint with good, reasonably priced real ales but populated by 'wanna-be' locals who seem to make a sport of staring at anyone who is new! Not welcoming - You need to get this sorted as it can be intimidating.
All in all would stay there again.More
