I was in room 264. The room furnishings were black bedding/curtains/cushions with sand coloured spots! Beige and brown wallpaper, ripped in places, but the cushions stank of sweat!! They were so bad, I smelt it as I was propping them behind my back to watch TV, I had to put them in the bath..yuk! The carpet was dirty and the furniture is very dark brown. The milk had curdled and the view overlooked the car park. The pillows were lumpy and flat and the mattress lumpy too.

The window in the bathroom opened widely but the one in the bedroom couldn't which I found strange. There were no nets, so I hardly wanted a wide open window in the bathroom!

Dinner promised pork, stuffing, apple sauce, mash & gravy...yum...I got, pork mash and gravy...no stuffing, no apple sauce and no apology. A side dish of cheesy potatoes, tinned tomatoes and swede...very odd. I was then forgotten about.

It was full of old folk who bash you out of the way so that they can get to their food first!

Given that my company pay for the accommodation and breakfast, they twice tried to charge me for it, on check in on my card and on check out.

Given I have a few weeks of business trips, they've missed a trick and I was glad I was only there for one night and i've booked into the Dalmeny next door for next week.

Earlier in the year, knowing we were coming later for a two night stay, on a coach we decided to pay a visit to the Inn on the Prom to get an idea of what things would be like. The shiny Art-Deco foyer was really impressive and really does give the impression that all will be well which was not what WE experienced on our stay. I have em phasised WE because others in our party were perfectly satisfied. This reflects many of the reviews written by others. It all depends were you are berthed and an offer to upgrade should not be necessary to get a decent basic room. Our bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in.

Staff performance or behaviour could not be faulted. Food was of an excellent standard being well presented, cooked and in plentiful supply. The problem is with our bedroom. Cleanliness was fairly good and the domestic staff serviced it regularly. The en-suite had no anti-slip mat in the shower/bath, no floor mat to step on, and the cold tap had obviously been dripping some time. Drinking vessels made of glass were made of glass (not plastic) were poised on a shelf above the bath and the tiled floor constituting a safety hazard. As the weather was starting to deteriorate no heating was forthcoming in the room. In addition getting to our room was achieved by negotiating a rabbit warren of undecorated passages. The ballroom was an excellent facility which we used as being the main reason for our stay. My wife and I have
discussed the matter on whether we would stay here again. We agreed that will not happen until those areas of the hotel that need bringing up to standard have been done.

Room Tip: At present if you want a decent nights sleep and you don't mind a route march through corridors...

we booked in and collected the keys to room 178 when we entered the room it was dark, old looking and small , I checked the bathroom there was just enough room to sit on the toilet , if I was a larger person then this would have been impossible , not happy we spoke to reception who were very good and offered us an upgrade to a better room for £40.00 , this room(284) wasn't much better still dark and small but with modern fixtures and fitting and a small but nice bathroom , no shower gel in either of the dispensers , the bed was incredible hard and lumpy , the only good thing about our stay was the staff were very good and the buffet style breakfast was excellent

We didn't stay in the hotel for long, as we were playing outside most of the time.  The hotel is situated on St Anne, exactly on the promenade.  There are buses to the main attractions of Blackpool, and if you have a car, it's even more convenient.  The location of the hotel is right on the promenade facing the beach.  Anyone who wants to stay on the beach for their stay is at a perfect location.
As Blackpool itself is a family holiday location, the hotel have facilities for children and adults (bars, family disco night, play room, swimming pool, spas...).  We booked a family room for four and is quite spacious. The best thing about the hotel is that it is has good facilities, a big car park, nice location, not too busy or crowded and the reception are friendly.

Had a great weekend at inn on the prom. Food was excellent. We did speak to reception as we had a leaking toilet and tv was not working. Good enough they sent someone along to repair both of this. Staff,in the restaurant could not have done enough for us. There is a hairdresser at the hotel as well as spa facilities. Also we went swimming every day. Lovely place to visit. If you want to go dancing there is also a great dance floor. Also the hotel have entertainment for adults s well as the children.

Room Tip: The hotel is situated close to the promenade as well as walks along the prom there are walks via the...

Normally stay next door at the dameny hotel but was full so stay here and will not stay again. We were in a deluxe room but was dirty and very old.we had a balcony but when sat down outside couldn't see any thing. The carpet in the bar and reception vey poor with joins every where and not fitted properly it just looks dirty, we have 2 small children there was no entertainment and we stayed in summer holidays.staff were nice and friendly. Swimming pool cold and around it looks very dirty, gutted about it all really because we old of stayed at the grand hotel which was lovely as we walked up for a drink and was same price as this dirty old hotel. The funny thing about the rooms are they can't even but three pictures in arrow straight.

my daughter and family stayed in family room which to my mind for what they were charged was very small and dingy and badly iin need of overhauling other than that the staff facilities and the food was first class

Room Tip: don't accept room on the back or side of hotel
