Visited the county as we had heard it had transformed into a pizza kitchen pub. We sat down and read the menu only to discover how expensive the pizzas actually were. Ranging from £9-£12. Thats Pizza Express prices, and we know how good they taste. We were about to up sticks and go somewhere else when we came across the lunch offer. £7.50 for any 12" pizza or salad and a drink. So we decided to give it a whirl. It was ok, nothing major. Pizza tasted frozen not freshly prepared. Ordered a portion of potato wedges which were overcooked and solid. Overall not sure about the pizza oven in a pub thing. Shame really as The County used to be a good pub. There are better places in Lytham to eat and most notably places that make better pizza (Pizza Express)
