“Good dog friendly pub!”
Reviewed July 16, 2012 via mobile

Ate here with friends on a saturday lunch. It seemed busy but we were able to find a lunch to accommodate 5 of us and a highchair and 2 pushchairs.

Several highchairs available and changing facilities in the ladies (not sure about mens/accessible loos).

The menu is not extensive but offered a good selection for lunch. I did think it was a little pricey but the food was good. As was the service.

I was impressed with the doggie friendliness of the place, each pooch had its own water bowl. Will certainly be returning with our hound!!

A group of 7 family members had a meal here last night. When the meal was being served gravy was spilt down one of the party's jacket, the waitress apologised but the gravy left a nasty stain, One of the meals was returned because it wasn't up to standard it was replaced 15 minutes later but the replacement was not better. We spoke to the team leader who said that we wouldn't be charged for the returned meal but when we asked about the spill on the jacket and payment for dry cleaning (it wasn't washable) we were asked which waitress it was that had spilled the gravy as if we made a claim it would come out of her wage. OUTRAGEOUS!! and we said so. We felt like we were being blackmailed not to complain. Needless to say we did not point out the waitress or any further food and none of the 7 party members will be returning. We did complain and was told to bring the dry cleaning bill in and they would pay it but who I wonder will. The hotel or the waitress, easy enough for management to work out who served our table. Disgraceful practise.

This is essentially a tradiotional pub that offers a quite outstanding menu. The kitchen feels like a slick operation and it is clear from the food that they really know their trade. I am a resident of Lytham and have eaten here on many occasions since its reopening and have never had a bad meal. In fact every time we go, I feel the place has improved. I eat out an awful lot on my business travels and one gets a little blase about food in restaurants. As the title of my review states if you choose the cheese and onion pie I guarantee your taste buds will be blown away. This dish should be nominated for an award. Recently a raw oyster bar has been added at the weekends and from my experience they are always fresh, juicy and a perfect appetiser. The place is very reasonably priced and in fact I have just decided to take my wife there again this wet, windy Friday evening. Well done to all the staff at the Queen Hotel, Lytham

Have eaten here several times both for bar snacks, lunch, and dinner - most recently last night. The food is always excellent and we have found the service to be attentive without being overbearing. The wine is reasonably priced and a good selection. Love the fact that well behaved dogs are welcome. Will be going back to try one of the teapot cocktails they have for the summer. A wonderful addition to the Lytham restaurant scene.

Our first visit to this dog friendly hotel and pub close by the Windmill on the "prom" at Lytham St Annes..but it certainly won't be our last.!!!
We received a very warm welcome and ate some truly excellent locally sourced food.
The hotel has been recently refurbished and we noted that they are advertising boutique style rooms at a reasonable rate.
Like most other reviewers, we could not fault the service.
Easy parking opposite the Queens and just a short walk into town to the shops and amenities make this a good venue if you are planning to visit Lytham.
Highly recommended!!

Room Tip: They have a suite available at a sensible rate.....great for family visits

Went there with my wife and dog, both of us had the Sunday lunch (not the dog)
It was cracking. We finished off with a drink outside in the sun . Guests and staff alike were very friendly and welcoming .
Will definately be back
