I wanted to treat my partner to a night away somewhere special for his birthday, so after reading so many positive reviews for Howarth House, I decided to book a night there, and i'm so glad I did!

We arrived to a friendly, welcoming smile from the lady who checked us in, and she showed us to our room. To my delight, we were in room four, which is the room decorated in blue in the photograph. It was very spacious, light, airy and beautifully decorated with luxurious fabrics and furniture. There was not a speck of dust anywhere...absolutely spotless! You can really tell how much pride the owner has, and how much effort has been put into the rooms and public area's of the hotel. The whole place has a romantic feel to it. We felt we were in a luxury country hotel somewhere in the middle of nowhere, rather than in the town centre! The room overlooked the main road, which wasn't a problem at all, noisewise. In fact, we both slept like babies! Shower was fine, contrary to what some other reviewers have said on here.

Breakfast was super delicious! We had cereal, followed by a full English, of which we devoured every last morsel. The lady who did breakfast worked so hard. I'm not entirely sure, but I think she was cooking and waiting on the tables at the same time. Superwoman!

My boyfriend loved the two gorgeous dogs, which I think belonged to the owner of the hotel!

The hotel is literally 2 minutes walk from the main shopping street and eateries. The dark haired lady who checked us in was very informative of where to eat. We eventually settled at Anatolia - a little Turkish restaurant which was one of the best eateries we have ever had the pleasure of dining at.

We can't wait to return to Howarth House, and seeing as it's only an hour's drive from home, hopefully it can be a regular occurence!

Room Tip: Room 4 was beautiful and very comfortable.

Conveniently situated for the town and sea front. Room was comfortable and clean, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The only down side was the number of stairs to get to the top floor but I was offered help with my luggage both on arrival and departure. Would happily stay there again.

My lovely lady and I spent a great weekend in St Anne's and found the staff at the Howarth House B&B helpful and friendly. The rooms where clean and inviting we stayed in room 10 at the rear of the hotel so it was quiet. the room was compact but well decorated, the bed was so comfortable and my lovely lady and I had a great night thanks. Breakfast was well prepared and hot, so all in all a good week-end.

Room Tip: the larger rooms are at the front

All involved in running Howarth House should take a bow. A fantastic place to stay from the welcome, the rooms, breakfast and the service.

Central location to all of St Annes and transport links if you wish to visit the nearby attractions. Our room was, as some others have said a little on the small side, but as we where staying for one day that didn't matter to us. Not sure of what the other rooms are like but if you intend to stay for a longer period, ask if there are any larger rooms available BUT DO consider Howarth House as a place to stay if you are visiting St Annes.

Stayed a night here, and found it very welcoming. Staff very friendly and helpful. The decor is quirky, but well done. Room had everything needed, and was clean, warm and comfortable.
Breakfast has plenty of choice, all with excellent service.

Would stay again if in the area.

We stayed here in the 19th January for our 33rd wedding anniversary. The room was stunning and there was a lovely terrace where you could sit and watch the clear night sky. The furnishings were lovely and no attention to detail had been spared. The breakfast was yummy and the lady serving it was lovely. A superb stay and we could take the dog and met Harry the Old English Puppy who was beautiful. They even e mailed us before we came to stay to tell us where we vould eat and take the dog. Fantastic,

Room Tip: All lovely and beautifully decorated and the lounge is stunning.
