“The best place to eat in Milton Keynes”
Reviewed December 14, 2012

We have been using Robinsons since it opened. The classic husband and wife run venue with the affable and lovely Angie welcoming you while the culinary skilled Darren creates great food.
Peter and Sacha are the main staff and their discrete excellent service is one of the pleasures of eating here. Modern British cooking that tastes like real food without any Fat Duck pretensions of head phones and foam.I eat in many restaurants throughout the world and Robinsons is one I return to at least monthly.

“Just right”
Reviewed December 13, 2012

This is a great place for a special meal, special guests as you do pay for what you get. The food is excellent, some different flavour combinations that show culinary expertise. The staff are unobtrusively attentive.

“Consistently great service and top quality food”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

We've been coming to Robinson's since it opened and our meal on Fri 16th Nov was, as ever, wonderful. It was a real shame to read another reviewer which gave an extremely negative perspective of the place. I would agree that it probably isn't the best place to take children because it is not a big restaurant and there is no-where for small kids to run about or let off steam. However, as a dependable bistro for romantic meals or parties with friends I would say it is perfect. Angela and all the staff are always welcoming and friendly.

“Excellent”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

My husband and I are regular visitors to Robinsons both at lunchtime and evenings. We have always enjoyed the food and service, it is consistently excellent. The food and wine are reasonably priced and it is by far the best fine restaurant in the area, an absolute gem. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone without hesitation. My compliments to the chef, excellent food.

“great little restaurant”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

Came here on a Tuesday for steak night at £12.99 with a glass of wine, not expecting great things for that price but we were pleasantly suprised
Parking is a bit sparse outside, so we ended up parking in a car park down a side street and walking up through the arcade which was fine
Booking is essential and even then we had to wait a short while in the bar, but we were served drinks and olives and it was comfortable
The restaurant is a mixture of ceiling heights and floor heights - our coats were hung up in a broom cupboard! but that adds to the character of the place
The food was delicious, the free glass of wine was very decent as well, and the staff were lovely
Will definately be returning, a hidden gem!
