Description: We are a traditional, local family-run pub in the idyllic countryside of Herefordshire. Over looking stunning views of the Wye Valley, the Man of Ross is the ideal place to go for a drink or delicious home cooked food. We have a vast drinks collection of local ciders and ales, lagers, wines, soft drinks and freshly brewed coffee. All of our food is as locally sourced as possible and home cooked to order. Our lunchtime menu offers light bites such as sandwiches and baguettes to homemade pub classics. The Chef specialises in fresh seafood dishes which vary weekly depending on what fresh fish is available. Also, locally sourced Hereford steaks are served daily such as a 16oz T-Bone and our 'Trio of Steaks'. Sunday Roast is served every week using only local meat and produce. Pop in to have a pleasant experience and warm by our cosy wood burner or relax outside in the sun admiring views of the River Wye during the summer season.

We visited this pub for an evening meal expecting good quality pub food, served by friendly staff and we were not disappointed. There's a good selection of traditional pub meals on the menu and a few specials. It's only a small restaurant area so if you're planning on going in the evening it might be worth booking a table.

The three of us and our black cocker spaniel were welcomed at The Man of Ross last Sunday and had a good traditional roast beef meal with all the usual trimmings including local carrots, Yorkshire puds and nice potatoes. Reasonably priced and nice that our dog was welcomed in the bar area as well.

A gorgeous pub with heaps of history and a relaxed cosy atmosphere. The food is brilliant and the team are so helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend it for a meal or a drink and when the weather is on our side the views to the river are outstanding

Came here shortly after arriving in Ross on Wye, although deceptively small on the inside, there was a few spare tables available. Staff were friendly and attentive, food was freshly prepared and cooked and didn't have to wait too long for food. The food was also reasonably priced as well. Would visit again, if in the area.

Small restaurant area - space for 2 tables for 2 and 2 tables of 4 although there is some additional tables in adjoining bar area. Although the menu was limited, the food was freshly cooked and served quickly. Food presentation was lacking - no side salad or garnish. Food reasonably priced in comparison to others in the area.

Thank you for your recent review. It is unfortunate that we are only a small pub with only a few tables in the restaurant area, if we could we would like to have more space available but due to building size this proves impossible. We are able to keep our prices low by not adding garnish to dishes that is unnecessary, if you would have liked a salad we would have been happy to provide you with one. We have a small menu due to the fact that we change our menu on a weekly basis with everything being cooked fresh. Bigger outlets with bigger menus normally means frozen food!!
We hope you enjoyed your time in beautiful Ross On Wye, and will be back to visit the area soon.
