Our first visit to this hotel, and will certainly not be the last. There were 4 adults in our party, and all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is ideal, it is set beside the River Wye, and only a 15 minute walk into Ross on Wye, and within a 30 minute drive you can visit Hereford, Symonds Yat and a whole host of other beautiful sights. The food at the hotel was fantastic. The bedrooms were spacious and had all facilities, including original fire places. The beds were huge and wonderfully comfortable. The owners made us feel very welcome, and the staff were brilliant - in particular Kerry who pulled out all stops to ensure our stay was memorable. We are looking forward to revisiting next year.

A group of 10 persons for two nights who were looked after superbly. You could see the attention to detail and the obvious pride in a family run small hotel. Faultless stay.

We stayed one night, the room was very clean and comfortable, and beautifully furnished in keeping with the building, a four poster and lovely furnishings but cozy rather than grand, beautiful, just lovely in every way. It over looked the river, we had champagne in our room, and enjoyed watching the river flow by in the afternoon sunshine. Just lovely. Had dinner in the restaurant, had to ask for plates and knives so we could eat our cheese as after waiting a while they never materialized, and cheese was too cold, so couldn't really enjoy it's flavour. If you are cheese freaks like us might be worth letting waiter know you will be wanting cheese so they can let it sit in the warm whilst you eat your meal! Everything else
was really good we would love to go back and would recommend this lovely tranquil, relaxing and beautiful hotel.

Super cosy little hotel, excellent resturant, attentive staff. We received realy helpful hints over where to visit from the owner who was in attendance at all meals and took time to talk to all guests. We shall visit again

I have visited most of the restaurants in the vicinity as good food is very important to me. So I was delighted to take 2 visiting American friends to dinner at Wilton Court as I had not managed to sample it before. Well, I definitely was not disappointed. The service was attentive and excellent. The proprietor, Helen, was extremely patient when taking our dinner order - my friends asked if there was anything else on offer, other than what was on the printed menu. Helen immediately went and asked the chef and came back with 3 alternatives. In the end my friends settled on the Scottish salmon, one of the menu dishes! and both said it was superb. I decided on a large portion of a starter and I was surprised, when I looked at the bill, to see they had only charged starter price. It was a delicious smoked haddock and pea risotto, very creamy and just right. Once we saw how good the food was we couldn't resist sampling the puds - 2 between 3 of us. My friend and I shared a typical fine dining-type medley of strawberry 'things', described I think as a Wilton Mess - tiny meringues, ice cream and something strawberry in a glass - absolutely delicious and we were rather sorry we had to share! It was a lovely evening, we couldn't have chosen better. (I would like to put this review in the Restaurant section as well, since it is clearly a major restaurant venue for the area.)

Excellent place to stay. We had to endure one night in the Chase Hotel (couldn't wait to leave that dismal place) because Wilton Court was full for our overall stay in Ross on Wye. So pleased to have the chance to stay at Wilton Court, the room with river view was very comfortable, and evening meal was a delight. Staff very pleasant, Kerry outstanding. The owners were away receiving yet more awards for their hotel, so didn't get to meet them.

We booked a 3 night stay with dinner included on 2 of the nights after visting the area earlier in the year - in April we stopped at another 5 star restaurant with rooms, the Orles Barn just around the corner. The location of the hotel couldnt be better making it easy to access the local places of interest - Ross is a 10 minute walk into town. The meals were good, including the breakfast, but I was expecting more of a wow factor with the dinner courses. Perhaps I had been spoilt by my experience at the Orles Barn. The only down side was the size of the room which was relatively small meaning we had to dance around each other when getting changed. The bed was also small and too hard for our liking which meant we didnt sleep as well as we would have liked. However, having said we enjoyed the stay and would come back but before doing so would make sure we had a larger room with a bigger bed.
