Recently, we had supper here and were most impressed. The service and atmosphere manages to conjure up a notion of gracious living and you do feel like a guest rather than a customer. The rooms are elegant and spacious and I was particularly impressed by the flowers around the rooms, which were beautifully arranged and echoed the gardens, which surround the house, with lovely spring colours. The menu made the most of local and seasonal food and there was a good choice. We all thought that the cooking was top notch and that the food was delicious. I especially rated the asparagus and pea soup and the inspired desserts, whilst my husband loved the seafood and linguine starter.
