3 adults and a special needs child - first we had a 1 hour taster session to see how our 8 year old boy likes the experience. He loved it, so at the second time we booked a half day tour down the River Wye. It was one of the most loved adventure for all of us during our holiday. We will definitely go back next year for the full day experience. Highly recomended if you want to have fantastic family time together. The team members were kind and helpful and they gave clear water safety guidance. Thank you!

Great outdoor activity. Very good guide and absolutely stunning scenery as you paddle below Symonds Yat. Very well organised with transport to the launch site. Definitely worth doing! We didn’t even get wet!

24 of us aged from 6 years to mid 50’s set off on our adventure down the river wye. 4 of us were late but they still managed to set them off a bit later. Strapped boats together so they were really stable. We were minibused up stream so we paddled down which was great. We stopped off on the way down and had our picnics. Saw so much wildlife, cormorants, kites, ducks, swans, deer, cows, sheep. You row underneath the peregrine falcons nest at Symonds Yat rock. Absolutely lovely way to spend a day kids, teens and adults all loved it!!! We’ll be back!

We canoed the Wye on a beautiful sunny October day - 2 adults plus 4 and 9 year old - thankfully due to the water temperature our 2 canoes were strapped together, creating a raft. Our picnic was stored in a watertight barrel just in case! And off we went.
Did the 9 km in 2.5 hours which involved the 2 adults paddling non stop but it was later in the day so if we had more time (and 2 other people paddling!) it would be more leisurely.
Experience is wonderful - a peaceful stretch of river with lots of wildlife to spot en route and a welcoming log fire and pint at the Saracens Head at the end ;)

Thank you so much to the guys. Last minute booking the day before. They were very helpful and we just had the best time.

Will definitely do it again next year. Took our 8 and 5 year olds and they loved it too.

Highly recommend

Having been to Symonds Yat many times and thought about canoeing down the Wye, we finally did it and what a great time it was too.

The team were friendly, helpful and safety orientated too. After a short briefing on the route and ‘how to paddle’ we set off on a short drive to the start point, where we unloaded and go onto the river. From then we were left to paddle at our own pace, with the safety guy following to ensure we were all safe.

The 1/2 day trip took about 2.5hr, was leisurely and great fun. Spotting sheep, cows, historic buildings, heron, kingfisher, pheasant and many other birds along the way made for a fab day.

Thinking about it? Do it!

A small group of us went abseiling with Wyedean last weekend and had a wonderful time. Dan was a really good guide. Some of us hadn't done it before but he filled everyone with confidence and we all had a fantastic day.

After our rock climbing camcelled twice due to the weather. We were offered a bit of absailing and caving which was brilliant we were abit worried about absailing which in the end was nothing compare to the caving which was very challenging but an amazing experience maybe not for the people who's not keen on confined spaces, but a good way to face your fears. Both a brilliant experience and willbe returning many times.

We were given half a day to paddle back to our start point at Symond's Yat and quite possibly could have done the trip in little more than an hour. But what would be the point of that? This stretch of the River Wye is beautiful. Each new bend in the river offers a majestic view of rolling hills or dense forest. Sheep graze languidly on the grassy banks while cows walk down to the water's edge for a drink, vacantly watching you as you glide past.

The before-and-after parts of the experience were faultless, with the staff giving you all the advice you might need and answering your questions as if you were the first person who'd ever asked them.

Recommended 100%.
