“Unusual menu has hidden treasures”
Reviewed August 20, 2014

We had lunch here and it was excellent. The owner helped us choose as the menu was not your usual Indian restaurant one. He advised well and the dished we had were very nice indeed. A great restaurant and well worth a visit.
Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere great

“Mountain of flavour?”
Reviewed August 8, 2014

Your Namaste greeting gives a clue to the harmony of the meal you're about to have; tibetan or indian beer wash down with a not-overly powerful flavoured curry style food. Pleasant service, if a tad slow, but you should be relaxing in the sleepy town of Ross.

Second visit (previous one was about 8 years ago).

Food is lovely, wide range of starters and main courses that can be spiced to your requirements (although the hot is not really that hot, bit less than a Madras).

Order was taken and the waiter bought over some complimentary water melon due to how hot it was. Wife had Pork Momo's which where delicious as where the Spicy Chicken Drumsticks.
Mains followed being a Spicy Chicken Steak with rice and a Kathmandu Curry (hot) with vegetable rice and garlic Nepalese bread. Little disappointed with the spice level on the curry as the chutney with the chicken had more kick, but still a very good meal.

Staff extremely friendly and very happy. Will visit again probably not taking another 8 years.

“Worth the wait”
Reviewed July 21, 2014

Based on tripadvisor ratings, we went here while in Ross on Wye for dinner. While we had to wait an hour for a table (we hadn't booked but found a lovely pub up the road to while away the time in), it was very much worth it - the food was superb and very reasonable indeed. They'll happily make your food as spicy or bland as you wish, too, which gives it an extra bonus.

“Gurkha delight”
Reviewed July 12, 2014

We decided to return to Yaks N Yetis after eight years. To our delight not much as changed. No longer do you have the option to sit on the floor downstairs, but the food is still excellent. An assortment of starters was as good as we remembered, followed by the Nepalese beef curry, which is cooked to your own taste, mild, medium or spicy. Washed down with the very good, and rare, Gurkha beer.
You don't notice the service! A good sign, everything is always there on time. We always enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
Overall a great place to try authentic Nepalese food in an informal surrounding without breaking the bank.
