“Rural retreat to recharge your batteries”
Reviewed March 14, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Beautiful cottage in an idyllic location in rural Devon. This is the place to get away from it all and recharge your batteries. The cottage is immaculately presented, beautifully furnished, with a very cosy living room and delightful bedroom. The living area has the added bonus of the wood-burning stove, great for a wet afternoon, curled up on the sofa watching a DVD, warming your toes. Lovely little garden which I imagine would be perfect for that summer barbecue. It's a car journey to the nearest shops/amenities, down a few narrow Devon lanes, but this is normal for this area. Tavistock is the nearest town and a delight, definitely worth a visit(s). We spent 6 lovely days in the area and managed to easily cover mid Cornwall (down to Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligon), North and South Devon, including Dartmoor on the doorstep and Plymouth area. Great stay, perfect location.

“Idyllic, relaxing, totally dog friendly holiday which makes you feel totally refreshed.”
Reviewed March 9, 2017 for a stay in June 2016

The cottage is beautifully done out and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is set in amazing countryside, and is really quiet and relaxing. It is right on the Devon/Cornwall border so you get the best of both counties. The grounds and garden are secure which is great for dogs as it gives them plenty of freedom. The local farm shop sells fabulous products and places like Jamaica Inn, Tintagel, Boscastle, the Moors, Polperro and Mevagissy are all within easy reach for lovely days out. The owners of the cottage are really lovely and will always help with ideas for a day out and you leave knowing you have made new friends. We can't wait to go back this year (twice).

“Fantastic cottage!”

We booked Passion Flower Cottage for our honeymoon 28th Dec 2016 to 4th Jan 2017. The pictures we had seen of the cottage were lovely but the reality exceeded our expectations! A 19th century converted barn, it is very cosy and homely, especially with the log burning fire in the lounge. Manya and Andrew (the owners) are a lovely friendly couple and nothing is too much trouble. Their dog Jude also provides a warm, waggy welcome! They have treated the cottage as an extension of their own home, adding lots of lovely extra special touches that you rarely find in a rented cottage. The kitchen is very well equipped which we really appreciated as we enjoyed quiet nights in front of the fire and eating home cooked food courtesy of my wonderful new husband! We can't recommend this beautiful cottage highly enough! It really is an absolute gem in rural Devonshire with easy access to both Devon and Cornwall. Book it now! You definitely wont regret it! We have fantastic memories of our honeymoon there!

“Another lovely stay”
Reviewed November 1, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We've just returned from another lovely stay in passion flower cottage and really can't fault it. The cottage is so cosy and dog friendly and a great location to explore the beautiful Devon countryside. The autumn colours were stunning and the weather was very kind! The dogs had a great time exploring the local footpaths. Thanks again to Manya and Andy for being such welcoming hosts.

Ideal for chilling out, especially if you want something dog-friendly with plenty of countryside to walk them (our 2 terriers love it). Our third stay (so far), always sad to leave. Hosts really friendly.

“Perfection to a (cream) T!!”
Reviewed September 10, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

If taking a break from society and completely relaxing is what your looking for then Passion Flower Cottage is the place to stay. Having spent a restful week here I can certainly vouch for this. Beautiful cottage, tastefully decorated, quiet surrounding. The wonderful hosts thought of everything from dog treats & blankets for the woofer's to lots of fresh veg, milk & honey on request an best of all a mouthwatering cream tea on arrival!! Delicious. Lots of lovely walks nearby and Dartmoor just a short drive away. A definite recommendation. Next year's stay is already in the calendar!!
