I was here for a three day stay to visit university colleague in Plymouth.
The place is very pleasant, clean, tranquil. Breakfast is cooked a la carte!
The young couple that runs the B&B is easy going, no fuzz, very pleasant to be around.
I will definitely go here again for my next visit.

We would certainly stay in this bed and breakfast again. We stayed two nights for a friend's wedding and were very impressed. The bedroom we stayed in was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The king size bed was very comfortable and it was nice being greeted on arrival with a pot of tea in the lounge. Andy could not have been more friendly.

If we were to nit pick our gripe would be about the size of the basin in the bathroom - it is very small but this is a small thing compared to the beautiful and thoughtful furnishing - I definitely want the tap system!

The breakfasts were more than plentiful and very varied with copious amounts of tea!

We would definitely recommend this bed & breakfast to our family and friends and would have no hesitation in staying with Andy and Jayne again.

Room Tip: All of the rooms were beautifully furnished to a very high standard.

We stayed at Appletree on 2nd and 3rd November. We were in Tavistock for a wedding. We couldn't have picked a better place. We stayed in Room 1 and it was lovely, very spacious, clean and comfortable with a lovely en-suite. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. Andy and his wife were very welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

We booked all four bedrooms at the Apple Tree for our daughter's wedding weekend. The rooms were beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, with very comfortable king size beds. We also had use of a very comfortable sitting/dining room where all our family could meet. Andy and Jayne were perfect hosts, bringing big pots of tea on arrival, cooking delicious breakfasts, and providing us with plates and cutlery for a family takeaway in the evening.
We really look forward to returning again and reacquainting ourselves with Andy, Jayne and the four resident chickens, and also meeting the latest member of their family who is due at any moment now! :-)

We stayed for two nights and were very impressed with the place and the owners, both were delightful. We ran a guesthouse for 6 years ourselves so know it is not easy. As mentioned elsewhere, the decor is tasteful and immaculate and in very good condition. Facilities excellent, large flatscreen TVs in rooms and WiFi available. Breakfast was very good quality and delicious.
We thought our room, at £75 per night, was excellent value for money. Also, Tavistock is a lovely town and well worth a visit. The only minor negative is that the property is on a main road (set well back) and so there is a little road noise.

The Apple Tree is by far the best B&B I have ever stayed in. So much love and attention has been put into making this place. From the first moment you walk you will be in awe of how beautifully decorated the whole place is, very tasteful and inspiring. Andy and Jane are there to welcome you and make your stay as comfortable as possible. They are amazing hosts who are very helpful, cater to your every need and cook up a cracking breakfast (fruit salad and eggs are top notch!) The rooms are impeccably clean, elegant and follows the same decor throughout the house. Can highly recommend this place, and also a tip, do take the time to drive through Dartmoor National Park. This is one of the most beautiful places in England where there are wild horses and cattle roaming free!

We stayed only one night at the Apple Tree bed and breakfast, and really enjoyed the stay there. The room was the smallest one there, but really lovely in decoration and we appreciated the effort put into the presentation. We would probably prefer to have upgraded to a bigger room, but as this was the only one it was fine. Maybe a little small for a week away with lots of luggage, but totally a personal view. Andy was a great host, and gave us a lovely breakfast (chickens are in the garden so the eggs were great!). We would definitely return if we're around the area!

Room Tip: Maybe one of the larger rooms would be the best, but still stay even if in the small room!
