We stayed for 2 nights and really just needed a room for the 2 nights. It was a great location and unlike Browns Hotel had enough parking spaces. We didn't meet Tony until we had our breakfast delivered by him as he was away the night before. I spoke to him on the phone and he gave me the code to get into the property and the room we would stay in.
It was a small room and the shower room even smaller with a slidding door, but my goodness he had thought of everything to make great use of the space and it even had a table and 2 chairs to have breakfast at.It was lovely and clean . We go to Tavistock about 4 times a year and we will go back, but next time I will hire the garden room if it is available as I would have like a bit more space, but if you book a bed and breakfast you don't intend to spend much time in the room anyway.

On our arrival we had a very warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Our bedroom was clean and nicely equipped, although the en-suite was a little small with a glass sliding door. There appeared to be no dining room and a pre-ordered breakfast was brought to our room.

Room Tip: Make sure that the TV is not left on stand-by or there will be a flashing blue light during the nigh...

So how many times do you get greeted at your car door by the owner and escorted into the B&B - lovely to see Tony again.

We stayed in room 2 which was lovely, spacious with lovely bathroom and dressing room. Enjoyed the breakfasts just the right amount and personally we were much happier being able to eat in the bedroom catching up with the news rather than a communal space.

Last time we visited and stayed in the 'self catering' garden room, (see I managed to gather that important piece of information unlike one of the previous reviewers, clearly money doesn't make intelligence).

We will definitely be back for out third visit just need to decide when.

We paid £92 for a night at this B&B. There was no internet connection, the shower didn't work properly it was either too hot or hotter so I left without a shower. We were given a few slices of processed white bread, 2 tea bags, coffee, 6 eggs 1 tablespoon of Meusli and left to make our own breakfast. We didn't expect this for £92 a night and checked out after the first night. The owner then tried to collect the £736 for the 4 nights for two rooms we had booked. We then went to the Bedford hotel for a great room and breakfast for just £8 a night more!

Room Tip: Don't go into the garden room and even then your breakfast will be served in your room

Spent Monday 31st September there and speaking as an experienced traveller, Rockmount is second to none for style, comfort, position and friendliness, plus ease of coming and going independently. Loved the shower, with the fine overhead spray, and additional wall mounted hand spray to really get the body going. Tony is an absolute Darling who cooks a fantastic breakfast and makes a mean cup of coffee. His use of space is brilliant, and I wish my house was as clean as his!! The large wall mounted TV is great, and so easy to use. Rockmount is more like a boutique hotel minus bar. Don't hesitate to stay there - I'll certainly go back.

Room Tip: They are all good, but the two rooms on the ground floor have garden access which is rather special.

Stayed for a couple of nights, breakfast was wonderful, room was great. Everything was modern and immaculate. Very stylish.

The owners were accommodating even though we arrived late the first night, would recommend to all who visit Tavistock.

Amazing location close to everything. It will be our first choice when we visit again.

We've just spent 2 nights at the Rockmount and are so glad we chose it over the hotels we normally stay in. Despite arriving very late, Tony the owner was there to greet us. We stayed in the garden room and absolutely loved it. It reminded me of visits to boutique hotels, the decoration was very plush. The projector TV was great, never seen such a clear picture (might have to swap our flat screen !!). There were lots of towels, the fridge and cupboards were stocked with food for breakfast and the nespresso coffee was delicious. We will certainly choose the Rockmount next time we visit Tavistock :)

Room Tip: We had a look at all the rooms before we left and they are all very good.
