I don't know Uckfield very well but chatting to a fellow diner apparently this lovely little place has only been open a couple of weeks.
We had lunch here - a really nice mixed vegetarian mezze, and a couple of coffees. There are a few seats outside just by the river and it is tucked away off the main road so it is lovely and peaceful. The inside of the restaurant looks really nice with comfy looking leather chairs and the tables not too close to each other. The only downside with the outdoor seating is if you are not sitting facing the river you are looking onto the back of the fridge wires in the bar! so they could do with some blinds or something to hide that. Maybe that's in the pipeline as they have not been open very long. Planning a return visit for dinner one night. I wish them every success. From our brief visit I am giving this place the thumbs up for good food and friendly service.
