“Good staff but place needs a clean”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013 via mobile

As with many Premier Inns the staff are very good at their jobs but this place could do with a clean in their bathrooms. In my room there was lots of mould growing around the bath plug it was very off putting. But it's in a great location just off the motorway.

Stayed here over the Easter Weekend.
Good:
Abbie on reception. Swift and really friendly check in.
Dan and Hannah in the restaurant. Good food, good service.
Rooms. Spacious and clean. Flat screen TVs and heat that you can control!!
Location. Just off J21 of the M6, can't miss it. 20 mins to Trafford Centre/Manchester
This is a slightly older Premier Inn but still the usual great value. We paid £26 per night which is just fantastic value. The staff are the best and really make you feel welcome.
Great base for the North West and would definately stay again.

I must admit I was a little worried about staying here when I saw how close it was to the M6, but once you were inside the hotel, the noise was minimal. The room was lovely - very comfortable bed and very clean. You have to pay for WiFi (which I always think is a disadvantage), but it was only £3 for 24 hours, so not too bad. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice, and the staff could not have been more helpful. I will be staying at Premier Inns more often going forward.

I was in the area for business and stayed here for 1 night on a Monday. The room was identical to pretty much all other Premier Inns - warm and comfortable (and purple). Despite looking directly over the Motorway Junction the glazing did its job and the room was fairly quiet. The food wasn't great (to be kind - avoid the 'duck' parcels). Overall, pretty average but very good value - fine for work and good location if you are using the motorway network.

I thought this place would be pretty basic but it was actually really comfortable. Good beds and very clean room. Blackout linings on curtains - if only all hotels had these! Only thing that was an issue was that the window was very drafty - only a problem because it was such a cold night. Staff were very helpful. Restaurant good. Would stay again.

This Premier Inn is well situated, just minutes from the M6. No problems at all, it's a basically good hotel and the bar staff particularly friendly. The only gripe was the internet we bought at the reception, all evening and morning it went on and off - and on and off. Reception rebooted it but it didn't improve the situation. So that was a bit of a shame and the hotel should look into this if this happens more often, because it IS annoying.

Due to the immense amount of snow that fell on Thursday night we decided against risking the drive home on Friday and booked a stay at this premier inn which is near work. We were welcomed by the staff and allocated a room on the roundabout side of the hotel. On going down to the the restaurant they asked if everything was ok and I said as a joke could they ask the traffic to drive past quietly. (I have got ears like an elephant - or so the other half tells me) so they gave us the keys to a room on the car park side. Quieter for me so I could get a good nights sleep.
The rooms were lovely and clean and the beds are massive! Tea making facilities, shower & bath and thankfully a hairdryer.
The restaurant staff were very friendly and we enjoyed a delicious meal. I had the Chicken goujon sald and the OH had the chicken burger. Followed up by apple crumble & custard and profiteroles! All washed down with a lovely bottle of red. Meal came in under £40.
We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that.

Room Tip: Rooms on the carpark side are quieter.
