It was the middle of the afternoon and we were gasping for a cup of tea. We were nearby and looked up the pub on pubexplorer.com, which seemed to imply that this would be a good family place to go for a cup of tea. How wrong could we be. We ordered tea, which came with full cream UHT milk in little pots. We asked if they had any fresh milk or at least semiskimmed UHT milk and the land lady who served us was rude and said no they had no such thing. This was obviously not true because no establishment such as this would have no milk on the premises. It was the attitude that was so loathsome. We were made to feel as if we were getting in the way.
We also asked about a beer garden, which was advertised. This turned out to be nothing more than a grotty, paved area adjacent to the main car park out the front of the pub.
So, all in all a pretty horrible place. Stay away because it's rubbish, And one of, if not the, worst hostelry we have ever been to.
