Stayed one night as attending an event at the hotel. Reception staff could not have been more helpful although bar staff could have been more plentiful. Only one niggle was that after a very late night, breakfast only served until 10am which we found to be unusually early for a Sunday as most hotels serve until at least 11am on weekends and check out time of 11am again early for a weekend. Other than that, excellent venue for a great event.

We stayed for a one night stay on a Saturday. We chose an executive king that was spacious and bright with views of the grounds.
The breakfast was good with lots of choice but took a while to restock missing breakfast items and coffee was not offered until halfway through breakfast. The breakfast was good- hot, tasty and well cooked.
Would recommend an overnight stay.

Stayed for one night and did have concerns after reading some of the reviews but had a most enjoyable experience. The hotel jucharacters with character - if you are use to 4 star bland new major hotel chains this will disappoint however our experiencewas great from check in, at the bar, breakfast and checkout all of the staff were attentive friendly but professional. The decor is fitting for an old country house with high ceilings broad corridors and staircases and plump comfy chairs and sofas Our room was great - high ceilings huge comfortable bed and a modern efficient bathroom with views of the lake. The breakfast was plentiful and the cooked to order smoked salmon and scrambled egg was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. A stroll around the grounds after breakfast completed a wonderful one night stay

Went over to Oatlands Park Hotel as i thought it would be a nice change to the habitual pub/restaurants in Weybridge.
I entered the Hotel at about 1.45pm and left at 2.15 pm frustrated and annoyed as there was a clear lack of customer service at the time, i asked for a menu to the gentleman(supervisor or manager i guess as he had a jacket unlike all the other staff) and asked if we could seat outside as the weather was really nice, he said yes that we could indeed seat outside and he would bring us a menu, we have waited for a good 15/20 minutes waiting for the menu, i got up and asked if the menu was coming..... he again said he would bring it to us, and again i waited for a while until i got fed up with the lack of service and interest, did not complain to anyone as there was no one at the bar to talk to......
I do know that there was a small wedding happening in the room next door but there was other staff there too and it was very quiet at the time and quite frankly i only asked for the menu, it should not take 20 minutes to get this, if that is how long it takes to get a menu i am glad i did not wait for the food, god knows how long that would take...
I understand that weddings are a big part of hotels business but that is not an excuse to provide a poor service to other guests.....
Bitterlly dissapointed, went over to M&S where a simple smile and care made all the difference......

I stayed at the Oatlands Park Hotel for 2 nights on business. My room was clean (I am a clean freak), the bathroom was spotless. Although the hotel is older and keeps up the charm of an old English style hotel, the bathroom was completely remodeled. The hotel and rooms have a charm and the hotel architecture is beautiful. The bed was not extremely comfortable, but acceptable. The breakfast was a continental breakfast. The staff was friendly and a plus is they are in the AA Advantage network. They had WiFi in the rooms for an affordable price. Did not use the other amenities so cannot comment.

Chose the hotel for a business trip off the internet. Quite expensive but par for the course around Weybridge. Lovely grounds and loads of parkng room. I found the reception staff very friendy and my room had been modernised with a lovely bathroom and shower.
I decided to eat in the lounge bar rather than the restaurant as it had a more relaxed atmosphere and was open earlier. The service was good but the food was quite expensive. I had the Fish and Chips due to company budget restraints which was £16 and quite ordinary. A pint of the decent beer was just over £4. I would stay again for business but would not pay these prices myself.

I felt so let down after staying at the Oatlands Park Hotel.

Situated in the perfectly pleasant town of Weybridge, it promised so much as I made my way up the drive through the perfectly kept lawns.

There was ample parking space, and after negotiating the almost obligatory gaggle of wheezing and coughing smokers by the main entrance, I stepped in to a massively over the top foyer which was reminiscent of a Victorian colonial brothel.

A dated and unattractive reception area was staffed by an anonymous and non-smiling gent who was clearly unimpressed that I had turned up unshaven and in jeans. Having received my key (a real one, as opposed to a swipe card) I went off to check my room.

It was large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless, and I wasn't bothered by the view of a flat roof and brick wall as it was evening time, and I simply closed the curtains. The only problem with the room was the dreadful picture on the rather cheap and nasty television. Also, I don't like to open the mini bar to find it stocked only with bottled water.

The restaurant appeared overpriced, so my colleague and I popped out for a meal. It was when we returned that I started to realise that there are a few problems with this establishment.

My friend had moaned throughout the evening about his poky and unpleasant room. I wasn't too bothered, because mine was fine, and at that stage I thought that all was well with the hotel. But then we went to the bar.

Service was run of the mill, but the prices were eye wateringly high. A large gin and single tonic together with a large scotch left little change from £25. Yet this wasn't a top London establishment, or a seedy strip club, - this was a middle of the road suburban hotel.

Breakfast next day was not very good.

A vast array of hot plates housed a smaller array of products, including cheap sausages, cheap bacon, and the normal greasy spoon ingredients, but served with a little twist - they were all (just) luke warm.

Add to this the fact that there were no preserves or butter displayed for guests - you have to ask for them, and then you eventually get a smear of butter on a plate. Very cheap and nasty. Sauces and other condiments were similarly hidden away from diners.

Ditto if you want coffee - you have to ask for it, and then put up with bland cheap java that you just wouldn't drink at home.

Sitting in the foyer after breakfast whilst waiting for a meeting, a couple of things struck me. Firstly, the hotel did not offer guests the choice of a newspaper, complimentary or otherwise. There are no coffee facilities for those using the foyer, and staff appeared to be in short supply.

The decor also seemed to have been done on the cheap, and that just about sums this place up - its all a bit of a facade, really. All smoke and mirrors.

I can't recommend it, and I won't hurry back.

(One nice thing, - there were several Green Woodpeckers happily rummaging about on the lawns in the morning, and the cheery little fellas made me feel a little bit better as I drove away - hopefully for the last time.)

Room Tip: The best room would probably be one situated in a more realistically priced hotel.

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry that your stay with us was so disappointing and fell so short of your expectations. Your comments are somewhat surprising, as they are so very different to the majority that we receive and I don’t believe they are a fair reflection of the hotel at all. It would have been beneficial for us to have had the opportunity to discuss your feedback at the time of your stay and then to have responded accordingly
