After quite a long journey we arrived at this centre to find that the galleries had been closed due to austerity cuts.
Although we completely understood and sympathised with their explanation, we felt it would have been helpful to have been informed accordingly beforehand via this web sight, as the main reason for our visit were the galleries.
However the staff were very helpful and apologetic while explaining that they hope to have the galleries up and running again soon.and so we would like to give our sincere best wishes to them and lots of good luck to their new project

Thank Martin O

There are so many things going on at the Lighthouse these days, with up to date films, plays from the National Theatre live, Operas and Ballets on film, and a whole host of other things - Craft Fairs, Knit and Natter groups, French, German, Italian and German conversation (not as lessons, just conversation). There is a friendly little bar with food, if you aren't too late.

The programme of films continues to be excellent. A much wider choice than one might expect from a two screen venue. Many very recent productions. Theatre, opera, ballet screenings also. Comfortable and warm. Welcoming staff. Good café/bar.

This is a smashing little cinema in th centre of the city. They show many of the big blockbusters, plus foreign language films, operas etc. Friendly staff and a nice cafe with Orange Wednesdays too - who could ask for more!

This is my favourite cinema in Wolves. The building itself is a great example of regeneration. The gallery is normally worth a quick viewing.

The only place in town where they will screen non-mainstream films. On top of that you can bring your beer into the film. All very pleasant.
