The new owners of this hotel apparently have big plans to complete its makeover. The trouble is that until this happens the hotel is suffering an identity crisis. Arrival is not impressive - you drive through a housing estate before arriving at the gates and an enormous car park. You enter through a strangely innocuous, small door into a brightly lit reception area some of which seems to have been renovated, some hasn't - threadbare carpets combine with more recent decor. My room was off in one of the wings, a longish walk through several eras of decor - I wasn't quite sure what stage of transformation I was looking at. It is good to see the investment but the 'work in progress' seemed very piecemeal and a bit too much on display. My room had been refurbished and was comfortable and pleasant, despite the post-industrial wasteland view. Breakfast was good, with a decent range, but the buffet style hot plates felt s bit out of odds with the stylish black and ivory restaurant. The hotel is fine, nice to see the investment, but needs to excise what it is - a stylish boutique hotel or a large conference and wedding hotel.

I stayed here midweek in May and found the hotel to be in dire need of updating. The public areas are tired, run down, and lacking in any character. The room I stayed in was very plain with poorly insulated windows covered in some sort of plastic film which obscured the view and reduced any available natural light. I ate in the main restaurant and the food was standard hotel fare, just OK. All of the staff I encountered where very pleasant and are doing the best they can. There is an Indian restaurant attached to the hotel which was recommended and might be more interesting. The "spa" is being rebuilt so none of those facilities are available at the moment. The hotels located in the middle of a housing estate and is difficult to find without satnav. Overall one of the most uninspiring Ramadas I've ever stayed in and there are a lot better hotels in the area for less money.

After having excellent food at the Indian restaurant , had a gentle stroll around a beautifully hotel ,, yes the spa &gym are being renovated .. But it's not the end of the world !! The beautiful gardens make up for it .. Will return again soon and book a room next time to stay over . Please don't be put off by negative remarks !!

This hotel is like a buidling site and the picture on the website does not reflect the reality.
The rooms are small -including the triple room despite what the receptionists tell you at the time of booking.
The electronic locks on the room do not work even if you have them reloaded again and again.
We experienced a harrowing stay.

Room Tip: Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Thank you for visting the hotel, and please accept my apologies for the experience you had during your stay. The hotel is undergoing a full renovation at present. The work carringing out is kept to a minimum at evenings and weekends to help ease distruption, so again we are sorry if this wasnt the case on your stay. Our door locks have now recently been changed also.
We hope to see you again very soon.

We had booked here because of the spa facilities, after swiping our card at reception we were then informed they were all closed for the entire weekend! The receptionist arranged for us to use a neighbouring hotels facilities but had to pay an additional £10, we went to look at the room which was tired and had bare wood skirting board nailed to the wood. The corridors were poorly decorated with missing wallpaper. We the asked for a refund which we did get, will not be staying there again.

The Ramada Park Hall hotel would like to thank you for writing your review online. Our Health Club and Spa have been closed for renovation just under 8 months now. To make guests aware we have had the closure advertised on our homepage and all third party booking sites. The Health Club is now Open, and our NEW Executive Bedroom Wing has re-opened, we would love for you return and see the changes.
