Description: Om Restaurant is a bright and friendly neighbourhood restaurant on the Rowlands Road in Worthing. Serving sumptuous, authentic Nepalese/fusion cuisine. Om has a beautiful calm interior with aubergine and cream walls and subtle wooden & leather furniture, and is perfect for laid-back curries with friends and family or a business dinner. The extensive menu has varied vegetarian options, and favourite dishes include the Khasi Tang, lamb / chicken momo ( steamed Nepalese dumpling served with traditional tomato pickle. Why not try the Chicken Choila, if you like something spicy, or a Samundri Mismas if you just wish to savour the flavour like no other. There are plenty of Chulo dishes too: Try our Chulo Maachha: Grilled whole trout or a Chulo Raja Zhinga; King Prawns marinated in herbs and spices grilled in the tandoor oven served on a hot sizzling plate and served with a side salad. You can also enjoy OM experience at HOME with our takeaway or a home delivery service. We cater for parties in your own venue or at the restaurant. Sunday buffet is an amazing opportunity to try out different dishes, as it changes every week. So come and enjoy with family and friends, we look forward to serving you with a smile.

After seeing all the rave reviews we gave OM a go! Service was friendly and very good. The food was pretty tasteless. Onion bhaji was cooked fine but had no taste to it, really bland and couldn't take more than a couple of bites. The lamb dish was again quite bland apart from the lashings of salt and the meat tough. The chicken dish had flavour but was quite dry and the flavour resembled tinned soup. The sundries were all cooked fine. We have eaten at a number of Indian and Nepalese restaurants before so don't think it's just a personal taste thing - I think we've just been really unlucky. To be fair we were in a rush to order and went for a set menu (something we don't normally do), but still would expect something better. Genuinely gutted that it wasn't a better experience!

Thank you for your review. No, there are no 2 OM's in Worthing.

As I recall there was only one set meal ordered on the same week you visited us. During our service and after the food service, we always ask our guests for their comments on our food quality, and in this particular instance, we had a very positive responce from the guests as they spent over 3 hours in the restaurant. We are just trying to establish if it is the same guests or different as we did not receive any negative comments at all last week which is a big surprise to us. May be you would be kind enough to let us know how many of you visited us, what time and day.

We always appreciate customer feed back whether positive or negative as it helps us to improve. We take customer satisfaction very seriously, if one is not happy with their meal, we appreciate hearing about it then as it helps to rectify any mistakes we may had made. We always want to make sure that our guests enjoy their meal and leave happy. I deeply regret in this instance to have failed you and hope that you will give us another opportunity to prove to you otherwise and look forward to hearing from you again.

The food at this restaurant is amazing. I recently ate here with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday. We spent some time looking at various restaurants on-line for a small birthday celebration and we were really glad we choose Om. The food was so full of flavour it was really delicious. This is a Nepalese restaurant. We've eaten at many Indian restaurants over the years in various locations including the Midlands and Brick Lane in London. Out of all these, this restaurant is now top of our list. There were a number of dishes we'd never heard of and a couple of soups on the menu too. If I had to describe Nepalese food it would be something akin to the best of Indian food with an influence of Thai food but without the heavy use of lemon grass and coconut you find in Thai. The prices were very reasonable and the staff friendly and accommodating (I believe this is a family run restaurant). Thankfully this is not the sort of place I would recommend to go to if you've been out on the Sherbet all night and then find yourself with a craving for curry. The great food and friendly staff would be wasted under those circumstances. The restaurant has a couple of dining areas. The first is larger and more public area seating with a number of tables seating approx 16-20 the second is a small alcove area with a couple of tables that can sit approximately 6 - 10 people. Ideal if you want a small private meal. Our meal including a couple of bottles of wine, drinks, starters, mains, sides, a desert and a coffee came to £110 which we thought was extremely reasonable for 4 people. We ordered a fair bit fromt he main menu and we all had starters. The portions were generous, we couldn't eat everything (hence only one of use had a desert and that was the birthday boy). Our waiter was very helpful in aiding our choices of food as some of the dishes were new to us and some were so delicious it was difficult to choose between them. Om is already on our list of restaurants to return to. We saw that they offer a Sunday buffet, which we'd love to go back and try. For us this place really was quite a gem of a find and hit all the right criteria for an enjoyable leisurely evening out, relaxing with friends. If you think that this place may be a little out of the way being in Worthing I can only say try it. You won't be disappointed. Places like this are rare. Thanks for making it a great evening Om.

My boyfriend and I have eaten in and had a takeaway. Both times the food was great. We went on a Sunday evening for the buffet. There was a good selection of dishes and great value for money. The service was good, the staff all really friendly.

The takeaway we had was really good. We have found before with other restaurants that the takeaway food isn't as high quality but not with OM.

The OM is now the place we go if we want a curry. If you want decent food with lovely flavours I would highly recommend OM.

Visited on a Friday for a works night out having read the good reviews. The service was very friendly and efficient and we were made to feel welcome.
I ordered a Hiriyali dish which described as tasty with mint, coriander and chilli - they certainly weren't wrong! It was delicious - really flavoursome and fresh at the same time. The chicken was really nicely cooked and the accompanying lemon rice and naan bread which we ordered were also really lovely.
So many curries tend to taste the same or with a slight variation and having tried a couple of other curries that night - that definately is not the case. Naan breads I also find a bit heavy a stodgy so I usually go for a pratha or roti. But as a colleague ordered the bread I was happy to try and this naan was very light with no stodge in sight!
As a real curry fan - we eat a lot of curries from our local restaurants and which we cook ourselves and I can honestly say this one was in the top five of the tastiest curries I had for a long time! Can't wait for a return visit.

Thank you for your kind review. Unlike many establishments, we use 4 diffrent types of sauces at the restaurant. We also prepare all of our spices and sauces freshly in-house, which gives the food that extra flavour.
