The seafood shack for me, is the show stealer here, locally sourced where possible. There is something very special going on regarding the the smoked and cured dishes. If you don't fall in love with these meals then there is something wrong with you!
Also beautifully presented lobster, and the ribeye steak was delicious.
The service and decor were both superb.
In my opinion not expensive.
Bread and oil, 2 delicious starters, lobster, steak, bottle of wine, 2 coffees and a Scotch in nice surroundings for under 80 quid
Big menu, something for everyone, and the chef is not shy when it comes to portion sizes.
Am looking forward to going back, and would recommend that you pay a visit too.
Enjoy.

When away on business I try to keep a limit on cost for meals etc. I'd read about The Steakhouse before staying in the village and decided this might be a bit special.

The greeting was excellent being made to feel welcome as soon as you entered. Everything was explained of the tapas options, fish options, steaks etc.

I had the Salmon for starter which was possibly the finest I've had. It came with salad, bread and oil for dipping and was fantastic.

Rib eye steak with hand cut chips, mushrooms and tomato for main course. Steak and chips have rarely tasted so good. A nice touch is the salt and pepper not being out of shakers.

I was getting full but couldn't resist the three scoops of homemade ice cream. Toffee popcorn in one, popping candy in another. It was like being 8 all over again.

The wine list was good and reasonably priced for a restaurant like thins. A nice Rioja complimented the steak really well.

It's not a place you could eat every day (actually thinking about it you could), but they make you feel like it's a special occasion, even if it isn't. This is a special place to eat.

Prices were around £5 for a starter, £15 - £22 for steak and £5 for desert.

We regularly stay in Findon as there are a number of fine places to eat out....not all are open on Sunday evening, hence our decision to try out the Steakhouse and we were so glad that we did! We were very warmly welcomed and guided through the locally sourced menu. We opted for tapas and very much enjoyed the chef's own interpretation of favourite dishes. The local seafood platter was sensibly served on its own to begin with and followed, after a suitable gap, by the hot dishes which were quite superb; particularly the braised lamb in local ale.
There were a couple of times during the meal when we were advised that slight changes to the menu would be needed but these were discussed with us and even included an additional sorbet/ice cream.
There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere throughout the evening; the music was great, the staff were attentive, well-informed and nothing was too much trouble. A perfect evening.
