When visiting Worthing there is only one place to be considered and the Merton House Guest House is it. The rooms are excellent being very clean, well appointed and including all the facilities you'd expect including a morning tray of tea, coffee, chocolate plus mints and biscuits. The hosts, Mark and Helene are so very welcoming and friendly; you'd need to go a long way to find any other host/hostess to better these two. As for the breakfast, well suffice to say that if you have the full cooked you won't want anything more to eat until teatime.

Room tip: Room 2 is upstairs at the front facing the main road and is a big room. Room 6 is at the back, slightly smaller but quieter.

Whenever we are visiting family in Worthing we choose to stay with Mark at the Merton House. It is superbly located within easy distance of the Town Centre and offers first class accommodation. It is spotlessly clean and Mark is an excellent host. His breakfasts are one of the - if not the - best in town and keeps one full all day. All rooms are en-suite, offer tea/coffee making families, bottled water and complimentary chocolates.

Room tip: Ask for a room at the back so as to minimise traffic noise from the main road at the front.

I cannot rate this Guest House too highly. Everything was really lovely, from the warm welcome upon arrival to the spotlessly clean room, comfy bed, tea, coffee, chocolates to enjoy, WIFI and TV for entertainment.
In the bathroom were various toiletries - everything one would need for a ralaxing shower. A lovely breakfast was served in the cosy dining room overlooking the garden.
It was all together a very pleasant stay indeed.

Room tip: Rooms at the front of the house are subject to some traffic noise but it quietens down during the night.
