Description: Worthing's Pinchos Restaurant is one of the few in the UK to have been offering a genuine taste of Spain since well before the recent tapas boom. Bob & Beatriz first opened the restaurant's doors in 1989 and it has since become a firm family favourite. Pinchos offers the kind of warm atmosphere and relaxed but efficient service that only comes with years of practice, making for a superb dining experience every single time. The restaurant is situated mere moments from the seafront and Montague Street, in an airy room flooded with natural light and decorated in understated but cheerful style, in keeping with Pinchos' laid back feel. The Pinchos menu runs the full tapas gambit, an almost endless array of small dishes prepared to traditional Spanish recipes available to choose from as well as authentic paellas, fabulous main courses and sizzling platters of meats and vegetables served with tortillas. The pick and mix style of eating informs the restaurant's lively, bustling style as guests jostle to try everything on their table, eating with fingers and forks and perhaps sipping on a glass of wine from the list of almost entirely Spanish labels.

“You must try it!”

Went at Friday lunchtime. Stopped with my mother (in her wheelchair) on the pavement. The manager (owner?) rushed out to see if we needed help and escorted us in. Access was easy (via a ramp and wide door). Room felt spacious and light, wood floors, big windows, lots of mirrors. Staff were attentive and friendly and knew when to leave us to it. Menu of tapas (including a set menu) as well as big selection for other courses. Free olives arrived and drinks order was taken straight away. We had main course Mussels in a divine sauce (very big portions!) which came with fried potatoes (they checked if we'd prefer chips) and a small salad. Finger bowls, a shell bowl and extra napkins came too. So nice not to have to ask for things and then wait to start! We ordered bread to mop up the sauce and it is needed. I had vanilla icecream which came with a kumquat, toasted marshmallow and spiral wafer, yummy. 2 large glasses of wine, 2 mains + bread, 2 puds - £40 ish. The only negative thing I can think of is that the view ( a wall or the carpark) isn't great - still nice to sit on their terrace (3 tables so book early) if the weather ever allows. Will definately go back (often).

“Great dining experience...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

We've been back here for the 5th time and every time it's been fantastic. We're quite fussy with food and wine and every time this restaurant delivered, My partner works in the wine trade and is always pleased with the wines on offer... the food has been delicious and original as well as authentic (as far as my spanish food knowledge goes anyway). But my 8 year old always finds somehing on their menu she likes too.. and I'm not only talking about their mouth watering puddings that she couldn't decide on :-D the service is great and the waiters are very attentive without hovering over you... 5 stars easyily!!!

“Caprichos restaurant, Worthing”

Excellent meal - cod (or salmon) with asparagus in cream sauce with light cheese topping, plus good par-boiled/ fried potatoes & small salad, followed by mango sorbet. Very welcoming owners. Would travel some distance to visit. South African visitors.

“Great Tapas in middle of Worthing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2013

Found this just off the main shopping centre in Worthing. Bright and fresh inside - good use of mirrors and big windows to make the place look bigger. Warm welcome. Big menu. Over a Friday lunchtime in May. Shared 5 tapas between 2 of us - very good and filling. The mussels were excellent. They do live entertainment some nights which would be fun to go to and I should think if in groups great way to have lots of tapas and sangria! Family run with a nice atmosphere.
