Just stopped off on the way from Plymouth to London. Despite near starvation, my husband, who had been here once before, insisted we drive past every other diner/services to get here. Im so glad we did. Lovely friendly staff, very clean and bright and fab food. A real little gem.

“Vegetarian and Gluten-Free Friendly gem of a cafe/restaurant”
Reviewed February 25, 2014

Have passed the Diner's Delight a few times and always wondered what it was like. Today, 25th February, my wife and I were in dire need of a leg-stretch and a cup of coffee so we pulled in, bounced through the Shell garage and up the ramp to the cafe.

What a pleasant surprise when we entered the door, it did not smell of old cabbage and dead fat. The place was spotless (as were the toilets) and inviting and we were greeted warmly. Coffee was ordered and then we discovered that they had what looked from the menu to be real veggie food and so we ordered two spicy bean burgers, which came trimmed with homemade coleslaw and a nice bowl of chips. The hot parts were freshly cooked, the coleslaw tasty and, unlike so many other places, the "bun" was a very nice well seeded "bun" which didn't taste like damp cotton-wool.

Overall the quality of the food was excellent and also great value for money. The coffee was first class.

The only reason that I've written this review is that I consider this cafe to be a real find and it needs to be shared. It is now our place to stop when travelling up from Devon on the A303.

Go visit and, like us, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Easy 'pull in' location, nice coffee, friendly front of house lady, quick cook time, but full english portion bit on the small side and cost was bit on the high side, There are a few other cafes nearby that are better value, one of them being in nearby martock. There was only 1 other group in the cafe at the same time as us, that must tell them that 1 or 2 improvements could be made

“Warm welcome.”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

This is now a regular planned stop on our journeys up country. Hidden by the Shell garage near Tintinhull this cafe is a gem. Don't be put off by its location. We received a warm welcome in this beautifully laid out place. The sandwiches were fresh and delicious, the coffee excellent. There is a good choice of traditional cafe foods. The decor is clean and relaxing. I particularly liked the easy chairs in an area to one side. We will be back soon.
