“EXCELLENT BUDGET BED AND BREAKFAST IN ASHFORD”
Reviewed October 2, 2010

Ryemore is a good budget bed and breakfast on the edge of Ashford, within a five minute walk of the town centre.

This extended family home provides a range of ten bedrooms offering excellent value for money for the south east of England.

My room was one of awaiting refurbishment however it was clean and tidy; the bathroom adjacent to the room was of a good standard with a reasonable shower, also very clean.

Breakfast is a complimentary help yourself to tea coffee cereals etc, so do not expect a full English. This is fine as there are a number of cafes around.

All in all a nice place to stay, talking to the owners they are in process of refurbishing the rest of the rooms, after which all rooms will be en suite and of a high standard, if the revamped room that I saw is anything to go by

Will definitely be back.

Notes on the last review, the ‘long term guest’ were in fact contractors working in the area not council ‘tenants’.

before we start
from a basic point of view its fine
near the city, clean nice room, best price youll probably get for ashford, a super nice lady in charge too.
but there are a couple of inconveniences
theres suposed to be wifi but the connection is slower than dial up and thats putting it nicely. to check train times took 13 minutes just to load the national rail page!
the other `guests`
theres a few young tennants there whom told me theyve `been there a long time`
im guessing they mean council put them there
i know theres quite a few bnbs in ashford who the council rent rooms from
and im sorry but i do not think its right that im paying full price for a room where you get people whove probably been kicked out of their homes or areas for being a nuscience and are being given it for free!
secondly yes im sure many people who the council place in bnbs are genuinely nice, but these young people really werent.
when the landlady was away at night time, theyd be loud talking in the corridors until 1am
swearing, cursing, and a load of people coming in and out
im not happy because this ruined my stay
chavs are scum of the earth, and if anyone tells you anything different they are a lier

Athough clean the discription on the websight was slightly misleading. There is no veiw only a busy main road. The rooms were not ensuite but bathroom & shower facilities were clean & modern just down the hall, take a dressing gown with you. No tea making facilities in the bedroom although you can take one from the guest lounge, which is slightly impersonal. Breakfast being help yourself cerial and toast at extra cost, not a continental breakfast. A friendly family home with young children & animals. bazfran
