“Sunday Lunch”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

After visiting a relative in hospital at Ashford, we went to the Swan for Sunday lunch, served until 5pm. Mark and Debbie appear to have turned this pub around, the lunch was amazing, nice to have real roast potatoes and nicely cooked veg, everything so clean, particularly the loos, and everyone so friendly, will go again without fail , keep up the good work

“Vindictive Nonsense - leave our pub alone”
Reviewed June 29, 2014 via mobile

I am so angry about the blatant lies written about our wonderful local by ffazakerly and Kentishfella - neither of you have any conscience and it's best you stay in London and Canterbury. There seems to be some sort of deliberate attempt to ruin Deb and Marks reputation. We have dined there today - Again a wonderful Sunday lunch and the best cheesecake - our hosts are passionate and attentive. From the moment we first visited their pub all staff have made us so welcome. The Swan is the friendliest pub with good beer and great food. No experience can ever be so totally negative these two reviews must be written by people who enjoy potentially upsetting and damaging peoples business - totally unjustified.

“The Swan Inn Hereford”
Reviewed June 29, 2014

We paid our first visit to The Swan after 5 years as previously we had had disappointing visits.

However it is virtually our nearest pub/restaurant and, as we are having some difficulty moving about these days, we decided to give it a go.

The VERY BEST decision had been made !! Parking was easy close to the entrance and there were smiles of welcome from the Bar Staff. Dave had the Beef and Ale Pie and announced that it was the best he had ever tasted and I had a warm salmon salad - which was delicious.

Today we have been back for Sunday Lunch. Beef for Dave - Turkey for me (unfortunately I have developed GOUT!) It was first class - thick tender slices of obviously home cooked turkey. The vegetables couldn't have been better - special mention for the best roast potatoes EVER, cauli cheese - perfect - sweet delicate garden peas with french beans, roast parsnips plus all the usual sauces etc., were offered.

Sweets sounded and looked super, but I had had an elegant sufficiency so that pleasure is to come (perhaps next Sunday, already booked !)

“Great village pub!”
Reviewed June 27, 2014

First visit to the Swan and we will definitely go again!! Lovely little village pub, friendly and cosy. Good food, good patrons and very friendly. Family run with a family atmosphere and great beer garden for the summer! Not sure what the poor reviews below are about but recommend a visit, we were made to feel very welcome!

Looking through trip adviser this morning I cannot believe we have another completely untrue and totally unjustified awful review. I always make sure when people come into our pub we are warm and friendly to all who come in here. I clean the pub myself and it is not dirty. My husband is the chef and if you look through other reviews made by genuine customers who have eaten here there is nothing other than praise for all his efforts!!! Ales are always on 2 or 3 at a time so I've no idea where that's come from. We do have a lovely dog but he lives outside of the pub as he is a guard dog. Comments like yours which are totally untrue have a massive damaging affect on people's businesses. We have worked very very hard for the past 2 years to get the swan to where we are at now. If there was a problem if you visited it would of been nice of you to come to see us and air your opinion in person
