Description: Settled in the heart of Banbury The Three Pigeons Inn has been at the very heart of the community since it first opened its doors back in the 17th Century. It has created so many memories for customers of all ages and taken its rightful place in the hearts and minds of the many residents both in the town and in the surrounding areas. The Three Pigeons Inn has being lovingly restored to its former glory and has now achieved it's first AA Rosette. It is now a free house with guest accommodation, with our main focus being our fabulous food. We offer modern English cuisine prepared freshly using locally sourced produce by our award winning Head Chef. Throughout its vast restoration project, and since opening, the motto at The Three Pigeons Inn has always been to do everything to the best of our ability, the end result speaks for itself. We have now passed that motto on to our team, whether it's a morning cappuccino next to one of our coal burners, or a three course meal in our Winter Garden, The Three Pigeons Inn will always deliver 10 out of 10. The Three Pigeons Inn is opening its wings to invite you into areas of the building previously hidden from sight. They are now being used to create a space for you to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family. What you will find in place of the old neglected lounge is a transformation to the extraordinary. The bar will be a central feature so that our friendly staff are never too far away. Three guest bedrooms have been added along with a new Kitchen and Beer cellar. The gardens have been landscaped and a function room has been built.

Beautiful pub, renovated to a high standard. The separate dining rooms give a great ambience. It was a little quiet when we visited but we enjoyed it all the same. Staff were friendly and attentive and the food was spot on. Both my husband and I had never tried pigeon before but both really enjoyed it. It was cook beautifully. My steak was great, the best i've had for about ten years! Would definately recommend and will definately return!

From the moment we entered this newly refurbished inn, we were received pleasant, attentive and professional service. Our choice of wine was assisted by being offered samples of the two options from a very respectable range from the fairly priced choice. Real ales choice was also fine.
We chose two courses from the fixed price menu and have no complaints about what was served (except a Caesar Salad really should have anchovies). A small and not uncommon complaint is the temperature of the Sauvignon that should be more chilled than is so often offered but otherwise the experience was very enjoyable, assisted considerably by those that served us and a seemingly capable kitchen complement. Our high assessment for good value may be moderated somewhat had we not had the fixed price option;- but maybe not!
Pleasant courtyard with proper seating;- chairs with backs and not those unbearable benches that are so often encountered.

Ate here as part of a large, pre-booked group in the separate room at the front of the pub. The building has been nicely refurbished, and the loos are very smart. The food was very good - I enjoyed chicken liver pâté followed by penne pasta in a creamy pesto sauce, and a chocolate brownie. Everything arrived in a timely way, and the cheerful and friendly staff ensured that the service was helpful and quick despite the fact that there was barely enough room for them to get into the rather cramped room once our party was seated. Portions were large, and appeared good value for money. An enjoyable evening!
